A Simple Question

I personally prefer the "yellow with blue outline" look of the logo but more specifically, the one used for Sonic Advance onwards with the orange tint on the top that shades into a bright yellow at the bottom.
I dunno why, but it seems to be the most recognisable one to me and looks very sharp in contrast to some of the others.

 

Blue on yellow with the red "Hedgehog" letters.

For nostalgic purposes, of course.

 

I think the original Yellow Text with a Blue border logo was the best.

 

My vote's for blue letters with yellow (not orange) borders.

 

Yellow text and blue border always looked the best to me, the original logo always felt like it took pointers from Back to the Future's logo. I always thought it looked really cool how "THE HEDGEHOG" sort of zipped under "SONIC" in a curved fashion. Looked like it was going somewhere fast.

 

Blue with yellow border, because it's the original, and because SONIC is blue.

Seeing as this is Sonic Retro, shouldn't the site logo use the classic colouring?

 

The blue trimmed yellow letters have are my favorite color scheme, and I also prefer the older logo style, with the "the Hedgehog" curved like that. It has a sort of Golden Age of Comics feel to it.

 

Not to bandwagon, but I concur with what everybody else says. =P Yellow letters with blue border looks better.

 

To be honest I like both of them. I always did like Sonic 2's blue and orange theme, but I also love the way the yellow one stands out. The classic logos go well with the classic art and the newer logos go well with the modern art. In fact, it's a little hard to think of a logo I don't like as much. I also like the few "oddball" designs out there as they look more interesting than the usual colors and style.

This one, was awesome when I saw it because of the theme of the game, the sky, the ground, everything looked so...perfectly mixed there. Also in the DC title screen with all the ripples from the water...



This one is classy and new at the same time. Simple but effective.



The same happens with this one. Looks Classy. And the Chaos Emerald looks very nice there.

Edit; I know this was just "what do we like most" but...I like them all! xD... So, I wanted to say that things about these logos.

 

Goddamn I love the S&K logo.

As for normal logos though, I prefer blue letters with yellow borders, but my favorite would be the way it's done in SA2. The top left one's border is too orange and the one right under that is too yellow, but I love the gradient in SA2's. I don't mind any of them, though.

 

I never noticed how the O in Sonic always had that little crooked hole in the center, nor did I notice that the C is the same way.

I'm in full agreement with you there. I would like to of seen what Sonic and Knuckles might have been like with the head-logo, as a title screen...how might that go...?
I love the original Adventure logo too. It was fitting at the time. It showed (me) that Sonic was back!

 

I tend to like them all; it really depends on the context they're used in. I think, for the series in general, the yellow-with-blue-trim is the most iconic, but having variance can really add to the subtleties of the logo, such as the twinkles in SA2's logo.

 

I prefer the blue letters. I figure if Sonic is blue his name might as well be written in blue.

 

If I had to pick from the four you gave, yellow with blue trim (the one on the lower left). The blue with yellow trim just looks, I dunno, inverted or something.

But my favourite is probably the crystal blue one from the OVA that slams on to the screen, then turns yellow.
