Japan to finally get Sonic X episodes 53-78

Is there a card with this character?

 

Why does he look so familiar? Now it's driving me crazy.

 

It incorporates a number of styling cues found throught out anime.

His eyes and the from part of his hair also look a lot like Sally's... Or is that a girl? That would be a strange tail to put on a female.

 

Hmm...Looking to this character now after 2 years, makes me think on Silver...

But I love how he looks to Leo/Kimba the White Lion. =P

 

That's because nobody wants to watch people playing Children's card games on motorcycles.


I'm still looking forward to download these episodes, one thing I hated about Sonic X was the localization.

What about Pocket Monsters, who'll stay on air until its contract expired or the inevitable death of the franchise.

I just can't believe this was produced in Japan, but never release there for over 2 years. I started to think that the animation company behind that project have doubt in the Japanese audience. However I do heard that Sonic isn't that popular in Japan than it is throughout the world.

I'll actually be releasing these episodes through torrents tomorrow. Sorry for the delay on everything. Really was a lack of motivation than anything else and not the intent to hord the episodes. Included in this torrent along with episodes 53 through 78, will be the TV version of episode 26 which was included on the rental service and is probably the highest quality audio we got for this episode as a result. Also I included 52 because instead of using the TV or DVD master, TMS accidently uploaded the International version. As a result, logo is in english, the once instance of Japanese in the episode is left in English as opposed to switching over and well... I think what's most important is the inclusion of T.O.P. in textless form.

One other thing I want to note is TMS did not get to the stage of adding credits, so we're still left with very little idea who worked on 53 - 78. They did, however, apply the lyrics at the bottom (which seems to be standard to use as a basis for applying credits), so it's not simply just creditless footage, with the exception of episode 77 and (kinda) 78.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this and I actually feel bad that I did forget this. I want to give a BIG thankyou Puto for giving the money and purchasing them to get these episodes released. Gourry and Usotsuki also contributed to helping get these ripped and helping me to remove the DRM from the files. I think Link did something too...? I can't remember.

Odd, from what I've seen, they didn't put eye catchers in the French version of 53-78. Guess they did it purely for the Japanese version.

 

I was kind of hoping for subtitles, to be honest. There wouldn't happen to be a set of just the subtitles I could download, would there?

 

That's how the original source was. Not much I can do there.

The simple reason was because TMS had removed the Eyecatchers and Previews from the International Version. They DO NOT exist in masters outside of Japan. Japanese text was also removed too, for whatever reason. This also includes the Episode titles, plus (for the one instance this is shown and it's only brief) the eyecatcher in episode 26. This means that incident with Chris and Sonic holding up a blank sign, for instance, wasn't the result of 4Kids stupidity, it was on the Japanese ends.

I think the only time 4Kids removed any Japanese was the episode where the group discovered the Chao Garden (Although, I might need to double check).

Kinda stupid that it took this long for us to get a set of unaltered masters, even if they're not in the best of quality. Hopefully a DVD release occurs someday...

These were from the old French version. I don't know if they're good or bad for the japanese release. They're probably out-synced if there was content added to the japanese version but I can only fix them when I finish downloading the episodes.
