Sonic the Hedgehog Redemption

I had a very similar background for my first level a while back, using the same clouds (AIZ intro. =P).

As you can see, the empty feeling is more or less gone now. =P

Really, the only things I would suggest is changing the grass around, and adding something to the sky. Is that background from Sonic 3's intro?

But I agree that UtopiaUK's background should probably have more going on the sky at least.

 

Actually, that can be used to make the zone more difficult which is good.

I agree with roxahris. It looks great and if you put something in the sky it'll be even better.

 

Why not have the Death Egg floating in plain view, and scroll very slowly along the skyline.

 

My god, James Pond 2 was awesome. And thus is my judgement on this new bonus idea.

I hope you can create some very memorable and fun levels with this keep up the good work.

 

Yeah he told me he is going to have these type of special stages:

Garage

Bathroom

Cd

Cake

Sports

something I don't remember

and a castle.

Btw, are we going to see mock ups of the garage and the cake?

 

There is a cake-ish looking level on the game "Zool" you might what to take a look at that for art inspiration instead of taking art from the same game.

 

Very nice! These level concepts are sort of original (soap zone lol).

It's beautiful! Now this is what I was expecting Palmtree Hill to look like. Now I really can't wait to see what MJ is doing with the foreground. This is turning out to look so awesome.

Looks like you are going to add a few music from sonic 3 which will force you to get new samples.
Music from ristar will be kinda difficult because you need to remove the 6th FM channel and edit the noise channel IIRC.

Music from chaotix is the same, you have to remove the 6th fm channel to make room for the DAC and also take one of the PWM channels and edit its samples, and the noise channel, it was hard for me to find it in door into summer, dunno about you.

Yes! Finally, somebody is using Shooting Ristar in a Green Hill hack! Thank you so much! :D

So, basically all of the music is from Columns III, Ristar, and Sonic games from '94-'96. I was kind of expecting more variety, but this works. Of course, the game is far from complete, so perhaps we can expect to see the list change. For now, it's still a good song list.
