I usually don't use cheats or savestates at all except when testing my own stuff, or resuming where I left off. And also I never use states for cheating incase I fall and get impaled by spikes. =\

I think that you guys should allow the player to start from any zone after defeating the final boss(or collecting all the emeralds) like on Sonic 3 & Knuckles. :3 That makes things much more fair, especially if you find a way to fuck up savestates, then obviously whoever can beat the game without using any level selects or savestates deserves to get the level select and/or other cheats.

 

I have a question by the way.

If there anyway to make the saving mechanism compatible with the Megacart? Because if I recall correctly, usually if you wanted to save onto it you have to reboot the console, use the Megacarts utilities and well, copy and paste, and I imagine the process would get tireing after a while.

 

Yeah, really. Whatever happened to just playing games. Debug got real old back in the day and I just play shit without cheats

...Of course, I'm totally putting my foot in my mouth because I cheat in everything else.

 

Playing as Dan is like "anti-cheating"

 

The plan was initially to have Knuckles be similar to Fighter Kirby according to Tweaker in the last Megamix thread. Of course, things may have changed, so don't expect anything.

Thank god you guys decided to continue working on this project. Because of the water glitch I'm unable to pass Act 4 of Misty Maze Zone, and thus unable to complete extra mode.

If this is rude to ask forgive me. What are your ideas for the music tracks anyways, Tweaker? I mean I can understand if you don't want to reveal that yet. I'd honestly feel the same way if someone asked me what I asked of you just now.

 

This is good news. Stealth has never disappointed me in any of his endeavours, solo or otherwise. I hope to see improved versions in the contest someday, but I suppose only time will tell.

 

This made me want to break out Gens the other day and give the last build I downloaded a runthrough. I've played through and beaten it several times(with an earlier build than this one), but I noticed this time the final boss only took one hit to defeat. What's that about? I didn't get all the Chaos Emeralds this time, does that have anything to do with it?

 

Technically Speaking, the last release was "incomplete" and they might have forgotten to change the hit counter back to 8.

It is still 1 hit even if you have all the emeralds.

 

Or it was set up to have the same effect the new SSZ boss and the DFZ boss use: One hit KO, walk to where the Egg capsule WOULD be, and "OMFG NEW BOSS TIME".

 

I'm just glad to hear Megamix is back on becuase I'd like to see SOMEONE in this community finish a fucking hack.

That, and unlike everyone else, I didn't jizz over a 1/4th completed game.

 

For the record, the hitcount was set to one for testing purposes or some shit, and apparently no one remembered to change it to eight or whatever before releasing 4.0b.

Sorry, no conspiracy behind this one. =P
