Sonic 2K6? On MY computer?

Source is the back of the European Sonic Riders manual (PC version, obviously). Image presumably taken (and crudely-yet-effectively edited with arrow) by The Growler, since he's the one who posted the image back on the MoFo originally.

Amazon's UK branch's taking pre-orders as we speak, apparently. I'm waiting for a torrent or demo or something, though the former won't happen until the game's out, and the latter might just not happen, period.

I was also notified that this picture lacks the PS3 logo when I posted this over at The GHZ. Make of that what you will; they obviously just neglected to put it on there, of course, but still.

I wonder how hard it'd be for one to hack into the game and modify the acceleration value so that Sonic's slowest speed doesn't cause him to shoot off in the indicated direction with a slight nudge. Or heck, just speed up the camera rotation. That'd be nice.

It looks fake, after all the rest of the magazine has this grainy paper texture however the PC DVD logo is clean and no texture.

Keep in mind that this is the European manual. The PS3 isn't being released for months in Europe.

Wouldn't it be on the European website, or pre-ordable from European sites by now since its being advertised in manuals?

Also it can't be covering the PS3 as they don't mention the PS3 copyright details, it may be real but it says according to amazon.com, yet I have searched on it and no results. It may be real but I can't say since I don't own the manual.

Fake or not, I'd put money on Sega eventually releasing for PC. It's just kinda what they do these days.

It's not fake. It's on the back of the UK PC Sonic Riders manual, as well as on the inner case cover (it's in a transparent DVD case).

I have it right in front of me as I type.

Demo: Actually pretty likely, since SADX and SH had demos.

That info might be outdated. Some still believe the PC version was never planned or simply canned.

It was certainly at least planned since it appears in the Riders manual and an old E3 flyer, and since a lot of online stores seem to have an entry for the PC version, it's probably still being created.

Well, wether it's real or fake, at least I know it's in a DVD ROM format so that Sakura won't get it and take my computer time playing that piece of crap, since there's only a CD ROM drive in this computer here. Haha.
