Wow. Intentional or not, that is funny.

I kinda hope she continues to wear the color of the next character, but it wasn't something the filmmakers ever planned. It just keeps happening by accident for the rest of this series. LOL

 

That Genesis cartridge is such a cool collectors item. I do wish the mini game was an actual game of some kind. Even if it was really simple.

Imagine if you could connect it to S&K and it unlocked something else.

 

Well... in theory, it should unlock an unique bluespheres level if locked to Sonic & Knuckles. It reads the header of the rom to generate it, so there is no need to program anything specifically for it, so it should work by default.

 

I wonder if they'll release the ROM online.
Feels to me that it'd be a waste of resources if it's for nobody but a bunch of influencers only to become some piece of trivia.

 

The developer already said she wants to, but cant. Our only hope is that one of those influencers kindly lets someone dump the cart

 

Most of the influencers they sent this to didn't even have Mega Drives from what I've seen, so a bunch of them are just going to be collecting dust.

So Ivo Robotnik will still have a villainous role in the movie, which isn't all that surprising. But the reveal that they're going to space certainly is.

I was expecting the final battle of this film to be against a kaijufied version of the Biolizard in Tokyo, but it seems like we might be getting the Finalhazard after all.

That reminds me of how I saw a bunch of kids dressed up as Knuckles for Halloween this year... These movies really made Knuckles more popular than ever.
Going to be real interesting to see him cling onto that popularity when Shadow gets the spotlight.

Damn all these lucky bastards that got a copy of this! I hope someone dumps it, I'm sure it will be dumped eventually given our community's eagerness to preserve things. I'm sure if you connected it to Sonic and Knuckles, there'll probably only be one level of blue spheres unlocked btw.

 

Shadow's Story, now with the depth of a puddle after it's been sprinkling for an hour straight and maturity of Sonic & Friends. Authenticity has left the building and is on suicide watch.



The Jelly Roll song made me realize their confidence really is at an all time low when they can't even have a cohesive vision for what the tone is. This is like 100 times more out of place than Stars in the Sky.

 

Come on, are we seriously saying that Shadow's backstory is deep and mature now?

 

I legit thought this was a hoax when I first saw it. Shocked to discover that it's actually real.

The developer documented the development and shared some information about the ROM on her X. Key takeaways being that it was written in about a month in C using SGDK; the final binary was assembled on November 15, and was about 1.4 MB in size, and a total of 150 repro carts were made.

 

God, I thought this was a dream when I got up this morning and was surprised to find that no this is indeed real

 

Sadly we'll probably keep getting those generic sounding pop songs since movies almost always use these cheesy songs that don't fit the narrative of the movie or characters. I was hoping we'd get some ska, punk pop, or even synthpop. Hell we know how popular synth music can be by looking at Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso. But we get another song that doesn't fit Sonic at all IMO.

 

The new song will probably fit better once we see the movie. I thought Speed Me Up was good. Stars in the Sky was alright. They also probably figure Live and Learn makes up any original song.

Haven’t seen the movie yet but I think the Transformers One song - “If I Fall” fits perfectly especially for Shadow. Other than the bits where Optimus and Megatron are mentioned it really matches up. Someone even made a music video using Sonic clips.

 

Is it unpopular to think that Stars in the Sky is a good song? I really like its new wave-ish vibes, almost feels like something from the Sonic R soundtrack.

Besides, it was written by Lil Nas X, a lifelong Sonic fan, if that's what you genuinely consider important.

 

I love Stars in the Sky and I won't accept any slander against it.
