4th Annual Sonic Central announced for September 24th, 2024

Plot twist: all this talk about Spinball is a distraction from the Sonic Superstars DLC with Heavy and Bomb that's totally going to be revealed here

 

Well Movie trailer is out, SxSGens only a month away, Prime ended...besides the Batman crossover it must be something pretty big to reveal.

Gems Collection 2: SS Arcade, Chaotix, Spinball, Shuffle, Sonic 4, Advances, Battle, Chronicles, Rushes, Rivals?
Another Remaster/Remake?
Satam characters returning?
Sonic Land at Universal Studios?

Oh that Sonic Transformer toy that was found listed before. Haven't seen that yet.

 

I actually want a Spinball remake. I was just curious if there were any credible rumors about one.

I would LOVE for the SATAM characters to return… I don’t wanna get my hopes up for it tho.

My realistic guess is we’ll get a full reveal of the DC/Sonic crossover, some more details about Shadow Gens, and a teaser for a game that’ll come out next year…

on the topic of a 2025 game: I wonder if headcanon has been working on a spin-off title. I know they’re publishing switch ports of indie games but are they actually working on an indie title of their own? If not, they could be doing something for sega. Tbc I don’t think they’re working on Mania 2 or anything. But they could be working on a pixel art spin off that’s an unexpected genre (a beat em up? A shmup? An rpg?)

 

The sudden announcement of this makes me think that it'll be something bigger than last year's merch-focused stream, but only time will tell.

You know which game had the SatAM characters?

 

All of them are pretty much “sudden announcements”, if anything, the shorter the wait between announcement and event, the smaller the expectations are, so it could still be merch stuff

them emphasizing “2025 projects” is interesting tho, cause anything i think they will show are mostly 2024 stuff “shadow generation animation, SxSG , 3 movie, sonic symphony stuff, maybe comics stuff, throw some lego stuff here and there”

 

All this talk about a possible Sonic Spinball remake are just setting themselves up for disappointment.

Edit: If this is true, then the island will not be called "Mt. Mobius" anymore.

 

I think a release for next year will be teased, and in typical Sonic Central fashion, it will be vague and unsatisfactory. I urge everyone: keep your expectations low. Even if a potential 2025 game winds up being awesome I highly doubt we’ll have enough info to accurately judge it tomorrow. That said, I’d love to be wrong :p

 

Predictions:
1. Post launch support for sonic x shadow generations teased
2. More sonic x dc content
3. Some mystery surprise reveal that we aren't thinking of
4. Random merch like lego or more year of shadow stuff

 

Meh.

Hopefully Sonic 3 with Michael Jackson tracks reimplimented in Origins. I doubt it, though. I can dream.

 

Sonic Origins Plus Plus where they'll color swap Sonic to look like Shadow and add the Mega Play version of Sonic 1.

 

Just watch Shadow being in the monkie game.

 

Curious timing. Crossing my fingers for a collection of the GBA/DS titles, plus a little something about what they're cooking up for the Switch's successor.

 

I wonder if they will figure out the rights for the Advance or Rush trilogy compilations...

Or add Sonic Advance 1-3 to GBA NSO ill take that too!

 

This is just gonna be an ad for the movie and Shadow Generations. Probably also a Hello Kitty or Totinos collab.

Maybe sonic superstars will get a final round of paid dlc. Skins of the movie characters would be a smart tie in
