Sonic X Shadow Generations thread, movie level out now

Classic sonic with drop dash for the free space, because of course they'll add that in

 

Classic Sonic's spindash gets nerfed and you're forced to use the down + jump control scheme even though holding X was a neat way to connect Classic's control scheme to Modern's boost.

 

There weren't many things to praise Forces Classic Sonic for. Doing this was one of them.

Real talk, replaying Generations earlier this year, I found the classic stages really hard to go back to because of Superstars feeling waaaaaaaaaaaay better. I'm hoping they tweak things to be a bit more like Superstars/Mania/the classics. I don't think they will. But it would be nice.

that Sonic Adventure legacy skin is the only thing I'm interested in LMAO (and the extra Chao in that cutscene)

You can clearly see Angel Island and the emerald altar there. Interesting.

Some words are completely crossed out and illegible, though. Either they did that to make the journal seem more "legit" (as if Gerald had crossed out wrong words and corrected them), or to give us an incomplete text and keep some mysteries.

 

that boxart makes it look like classic sonic went through an edgy goth phase before turning into modern sonic

Wonder if the Chao will be for possible bonus stages in Generations, either remixes of the existing stages or new ones using the assets from Shadow’s. The Adventure skin is cool but will feel really off considering how Modern Sonic controls in that game, would be great if they tweak movement to be as smooth as Frontiers and add the spindash as a skill you can equip.

 

Is this the same guy that leaked the Rabbit skin for superstars last time? Because I'm just as pissed now as I was then. Literally no reason to provide this information right here right now.

That's not entirely a wrong statement...

 

I'll take it a step further: Weird control/physics quirk from a post-Generations game, and not even just in the Shadow mode.

...I sure hope not, though.
