    Speaking for myself I always liked Tails the most so...as you could probably guess, I'm very happy with him in Superstars. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy some Knuckles playtime, but with what I've been hearing it seems like I shouldn't bother.

    Also as has already been said probably a thousand times, they need to adjust these bosses, man.

    I remember people got so mad when they put one of these out for Origins so I'm preparing my popcorn as I wait for the responses to this one

    So... it's really, really a pain to test this (as you need to get 50+ rings in Egg Fortress Act 2, and not lose them in the first half of the Fang Boss fight on top of that)...

    But does anyone know what happens if Super Trip is hit by Fang's cork bullets? Are they still instakill? Does the Dragon form smash into the screen, or does Trip switch back to her old model?

    They're still instakill, and she reverts to her normal form upon being hit.

    I think I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10. Maybe a 9 if I was purely reviewing it for myself. I've got some nitpicks with it, but things that felt like they might bother me more at first faded into those nitpicks as I became more familiar with it and replayed it. And I've replayed it a lot!

    Sonic games aren't for everybody and depending on preference, I think any score from a 6 to a 9 is pretty fair. I can see why some people might have more trouble excusing these things, and a lot of the reasons I enjoy it so much (difficulty, focus on replay value) might be a con to other people. But if you go much lower or higher than that, I might think you're being a little biased, haha.

    Am I the only one that struggles with the Eggman final boss 2nd phase than Fang’s final boss on Trip’s story. I did 2 more playthroughs with Sonic and Knuckles only and kind of struggled with each. It took me at least 4 times to beat him with each.

    You pretty much summed up my feelings. I absolutely love the game in terms of it’s level design, physics, multiple characters, level gimmicks, emerald powers, characters customization and bonus/special stages. But the game is brought down by other elements (the inconsistent soundtrack, the bad multiplayer, the limited # of customizable robot slots, the mixed boss design). I enjoy the core gameplay loop so much that I personally find it worth $60, but I can see how the game’s flaws make the increased pricetag seem overpriced to other folks.

    I did really enjoy superstars so I hope we get a follow up from Ohshima and co. I’d also be down for additional playable characters as dlc.

    It can be but I found a strategy. After hitting him 4 times, you hit the blue rocket to his front right side. Right before he smacks it , hit the left pad, run to the left side and on his back left you’ll see the blue rocket. It never fails. You have to be quick.

    A couple of quick personal thoughts:

    I definitely felt the (jump) physics feeling being a bit "heavier/weightier" than Mania and the other games, but I felt that I was honestly able to get accustomed to it...at least until I started fighting the bosses. IMO it feels like the slightly heavier feel makes jumping or avoiding boss attacks more difficult. The best way to describe the difference is that with Mania I feel like the Drop Dash was a neat bonus, but not necessary to dodge enemy attacks in boss encounters, while here it definitely feels like that is the case.

    It's stuff like this where IMO it really would have helped bringing back the insta-shield mechanic for the invulnerability. Hope the next 2D/MD game finally buries the hatchet and gives Sonic a more robust moveset that allows for both mechanics to co-exist together.

    I don't know, man. The second phase can actually be cheesed by the Avatar power so, I don't think it's that big of a deal. The first phase is more of a pain in the neck, and Fang and his Fang bot are just bullshit through and through.

    The PC version is buggy to the extreme and makes Speed Jungle’s tunnels unbearable. I also keep falling through the stages at random times. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    I did get stuck in the tunnels for no reason a couple of times, but I had just chalked it up to my notebook sucking ass and me still using Windows 10 (because I can't be arsed) and that somehow messing up with the game. Sad to see it happens with other people too.

    I've had 0 bugs in gameplay, but my GPU is massively overpowered for this game, so IDK. CPU is a high end but much older (6 year old) i7, though. My setup is otherwise super-optimal for the game.

    I don't know where the floor for performance truly is.

    I've not really had any gamebreaking bugs and I'm running Win10 on a 2017 HP Omen with a GTX 1050 and a 7th gen i5 CPU (but not for long mwahahaha) so not sure what's up there.

    I don't have the PC version or the setup to run it so I couldn't check anyway, but apparently the game shits itself if you try to run it at over 60hz. IIRC, the tunnels in Speed Jungle are especially broken at high refresh rates. So maybe that's it?

    Ah, that might do it, I can only run at 60fps (but not for long mwahahaha) so that might explain things.
