Aerosol is right, and consequently I have to say I have very mixed feelings about all of this. Stealth has given so much to this community over many years, all for free. So he probably deserves some cash kick-back, for sure. Stealth's constant activity of late has certainly been a blessing. In the past he'd just kind of show up now and again and release something cool, no doubt due to his busy schedule.

However, I really have very little interest in HCGE, Stealth's admitted main focus. I say this as an amateur game developer. HCGE seems so limiting (yes I've read the documentation); why should I make games as if I were making them for a Sega Genesis with a custom scripting language when I could much more easily make the same game using Unity using C#, or UE4 using C++ and/or blueprints. However, I feel like it has potential and I'd be fully inclined to change my opinion and donate if I feel like, after a few updates, HCGE is worth my time. This was the whole point of the HC project, after all.

It kinda feels shitty to say, but I can also say that I'm not really interested in Sonic Megamix either. Megamix has seen years without an official release, and I don't really feel like donating money until I can be sure that Team Megamix can deliver. That said, everything they have produced (even in unfinished form) has been quality work, again given to us for free. Again, it feels really shitty to say that, but I don't have a lot of money, so I can't go throwing money at stuff that may never interest me or see the light of day; this is why I don't donate to kickstarters. I could donate just a few dollars every month, but I'm very conflicted on whether even that would be worth it.

If it sounds like my opinion is flip-flopping, that's because it is. And let me emphasize that regardless if all of this, I have immense respect for Stealth and all the things he has done.

I'd say keep the flutter jump, but have him helicopter his tail downward, since there's already an obvious precedent for that sort of thing in Sonic. It honestly doesn't matter if his character design matches this ability, lest we forget Knuckles' design gives no indication that he can glide.

I would suggest going for Logitech and not Razor. Everyone I know with a Razor mouse has had theirs fall apart. They're simply not worth the price. I myself have owned a Logitech G300 for several years now, and one of my friends had his MX Revolution last for literally a decade.

If Deep Sea Zone is your falling off point, try playing as Tails.

Build engine modding has never seen quite as much activity as Doom modding, even after the source code release of the Build engine. Plus, SRB2 isn't just based on "the Doom engine", but is based on a port of Doom called Doom Legacy, which at the time was the only port to support true "floor over floor", which, from what I understand, was much more important to the developers starting out than things like slopes.
