So, as I predicted, they are stringing us along with little tidbits of info and building up hype over substance. Let's hope that the game doesn't turn out to be shit. Ep1 was hyped the same way and was a disappointment. Generations was revealed early and often to the point that it was major spoilers and that game ended up being awesome. -

Android 2x was the phone only series that included Donut, Eclair, Gingerbread, and a couple other versions. This series was used on some tablets (against Google's wishes) which basically made the tablets look and feel like massive phones. Android 3 was Honeycomb, which Google hacked together in a hurry to compete with the iPad. It has the new tablet UI with split pane views similar to the iPad interface and much better multitasking. In their haste to get it to market, Google broke a lot of the phone stuff, and that's why they took so long to release the source code, they didn't actually finish it really until they finished ICS. Android 4 is Ice Cream Sandwich, and is basically a completed version of Honeycomb with all the phone stuff fully realized and fixed. ICS has both a traditional phone UI for small screens, and the new tablet UI from Honeycomb, and switches UIs automatically based on your screen size. For all intents and purposes, ICS is pretty much Honeycomb final. It's kind of like the difference between Windows Vista and Windows 7. -

Does anyone have any save games for the Steam version yet? Also I might be imagining things but the physics feel less derpy on the PC than they did on my 360. I find myself playing much the same way I would one of the genesis games, aside from the uncurling I guess, but all in all this isn't that bad. I haven't been to Casino Street yet, I'm sure that will still have the horribly coded I HAVE NO UNDERSTANDING OF THE SONIC ENGINE. -

That's REALLY stretching things to give Microsoft credit for PC Gaming considering their efforts near enough destroyed it, but hey, if you're happy with Microsoft forcing their Xbox 360 controller to be standard on PC games to, then good for you.
Okay seriously not to derail the thread (maybe a mod could split off a Games for Windows thread?) but how do they not deserve some credit for bringing standards to PC gaming? I mean seriously, think back to the DOS days, every game had to ship with it's own set of drivers ffs. DirectX and now Games for Windows offer a unified platform for developers and gamers. If you don't have a 360 controller, that's cool, is it so hard to install x360ce? It even maps the buttons for you with the built in online database! It's a hell of a lot easier than trying to map a gamepad to keyboard and mouse commands.
