19 May 2013 - 05:53 PMIMO if you do plan on going down this route then I would not make it a Sonic branded game. Why put so much effort and money into something that if Sega did take an interest in, would take control of it and then you loose creative direction.
The recent releases of games - which are different from this project because they were ports (WONDERFULLY done but still ports), everything was something Sega had done and didn't stray too far from the original product - where as this project because it is based on an unfinished game you have control over level design, gimmicks, ect. the minute a company owns what you do you loose the job you are currently doing. Then what happens when the company wants the project to go in a different way or a design choice you don't agree with. That of course is taking the approach that they care.
It is quite an ambitious "dream".
24 March 2013 - 04:44 PMI agree. Make the werehog faster, enemies that are quicker to kill and hey, I would take it over emerald hunting any day.
04 March 2013 - 06:57 PMI don't see the big deal about the render. At least its not a hardening grin like the Sonic 4 ones. Besides he's been having muddy looking shoes since Unleashed/06 era.
It is just a personal irritation of mine that the characters have muddy shoes, such a minor concern compared to his expression which only seem to happen on "lower budget" games. He doesn't look uncertain in the main titles.
04 March 2013 - 02:23 PMEwh. That render is worse than the Sonic 4 one. How come Sonic Team constantly add muck to his shoes. I understand he runs a lot but its the only part of his body/clothes that is affected by the elements.
Regardless I am looking forward to this.
19 January 2013 - 07:18 AMWhile I still think Sth06 level design is a bit hap hazard at times, I do love to see the how broken the flow of the original had.
