JaredAFX, on 22 July 2015 - 09:30 PM, said:Huh. This is really interesting. It's almost hilarious to think of the Wii using GI. I'm not an expert on GI or the Hedgehog Engine, but I know enough about the Wii's hardware to know that neither would ever work on the thing. This is just really funny (and it makes you think: if Black Knight weren't Wii exclusive, do you think having buttons would have made it better or worse? It'd probably be very different, that's for sure).
The thing is they achieved getting fake GI and used real Shadow Maps in Sonic Colors. And they had light fields. It was just different file formats but it was still using a modified Hedgehog Engine. Then the Colors team borrowed more from the Unleashed/Gens teams workflow for Lost World and used the proper file formats from their hedgehog enigne. -

Here's something I did.
I can see potential in modding Lost World for a different type of style compared to the Generations Modding. Makes it alot more free and open for the type of style they have set up. -

Actually my model mod has a slightly different rig that would ruin trying to import the animations on the original. I added more bones to the skeleton. Since I needed to make the double mouth. And some of the animations in Unleashed had to be retimed since they had xmls to do some of the timing fixing in Unleashed compared to Generations.
I haven't made another update to my model mod. I'm working on something though that JoeTE did help me with but its on the backburner for now since I'm working on something more important. -

Well if someone ends up making the ModelFBX that converts models to fbx to do the opposite. With the SDK Dario released. It should be possible. But the main thing is. Animations and Skeletons that require havok which need either Max or Maya or XSI.
