A decent Dreamcast emulator!
11 July 2004 - 01:04 PM
Sorry if it was already pointed out, I'm too lazy to check the forums...
Well, I know Nemesis have made an emulator for dreamcast, but this one actually runs comercial games properly, and on decent speed, if you have at least an 1.6 Ghz computer with 256mb RAM and a good video card...

Also, the compatibilty list says that Sonic Adventure 1 can be emulated perfectly, with some minor grafics glitches
Unfortunately, Sonic Adventure 2 crashes after the first stage, and have a lot of glitches.Maybe in the future?
check the compatibility list here
Right now, the emulator only runs at Windows XP or 2000 and you need a dumped image, the manual explains how to dump it from an original game, and it won't run unless the game is self-bootable...
If you are like me and use Windows 98, don't worry, because the emulator is very early stages, at the start, it couldn't even run at windows2000 just a short time later, they made it more compatible... It won't take much time until it can run in windows98 or, hopefully, others OS...
If this was already pointed out, delete this topic, please
EDIT: I haven't tried it myself yet, I just copyed what I have read at the compatibility list
