Posts I've Made
22 October 2010 - 08:33 AMHey guys. Just popped in to say HOLY SHIT I'm impressed! Works absolutely fine under wine for me, too.
Thanks for making my day at work just that little be more bearable.
04 May 2010 - 08:23 AMQuite curious about the widescreen Sonic 3 myself..
Widescreen sonic 3? It's just running stretched fullscreen for the sake of the photo ;_;
Thanks for the 360 pad link, I'll give that a bash tomorrow!
Oh yeah, and nik?
Happy now? :P
... Quite a strange sensation, having to google project shadow. Lost my system drive and the backup on the same day in january, with all my project shadow stuff ;_;
02 May 2010 - 05:33 AMYa, I wish that DPad was better too. We were actually talking about bringing one in this morning, actually. Anyone any idea how well they work on Ubuntu? I imagine you have to do some voodoo to get it to play nice. Hell, you have to do some voodoo to get fucking microsoft MICE to work sensibly.
As for the widescreen thing? Yeah, you can thank moores law for that. Last year we got some shitty 1280x1024 15" touch screens for £450. This year we built new ones and these 23" Acer widescreen multitouch displays are the only ones we could get at scan. And they only cost £230.
Also, Overlord! Damn, you're still here? Been too long, I agree. Might spend a bit more time on here, I left around the time sonic cult started crumbling and couldn't really be arsed with it anymore but this place seems pretty on the ball these days.
EDIT: Hm, didn't notice gerbil had his own section in the forum. Could someone do me a favour and move it over?
01 May 2010 - 09:58 AMHahahaha no, it's not a proprietary till. It's our family business so we got to decide what tills to put it in. We decided to build them ourselves and write our own till software in phpGTK running on Ubuntu 9.10. I'm just thanking gerbil for maintaining gens for linux. Can't for the life of me get megaCD to work, though. Sonic CD on the till? Do want. :P
edit: Also, Plants vs. Zombies under wine on a touch screen is just awesome.
10 February 2009 - 03:52 PMI think they look 98% identical and nobody will notice any difference. Especially in-game.
I like to lurk around here every few months. I love the idea of this project - but you're still discussing the art for the first level?
