  1. In Topic: Sonic CD now out for everything except Nintendo consoles

    02 November 2011 - 02:14 AM

Well, I'm pretty excited for this. Now, if Knuckles Chaotix on something not the 32x ever happened ever then I could probably die happy. Not to incite anything, but what would the continuity issues be with Tails? Is the chronological order 1 -> CD -> 2? Either way, I'm very happy for not only this game but how it could impact future re-releases.

Surprise General Sonic Discussion post! Second one this year I think!

    Sky High Zone - SongeLeReveur

This... captures the song perfectly. He also does some other neat game covers. This one is just particularly obscure.

    EDIT:

I actually wanted to provide some criticism on the initial video. While the cover is decent, I'm disappointed by how the introduction is kind of screwed up. He seems to ignore some notes right at the start. My other problem is how the instrument balance seems off. What I would consider to be the melody is kind of just background noise in comparison to the rest of what is going on.

He's clearly a talented musician, I just believe he should edit slightly better and stick to the source material. I'm personally not a huge fan of guitar covers, myself (I much prefer piano arrangements), so take my opinions with a grain of salt, I suppose.
  3. In Topic: How legal are my romz?

    13 February 2010 - 03:16 AM

To my knowledge, pursuit of individual people pirating games isn't something gaming companies are focusing on. If there is an issue, it would be with the distributor. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I have heard very little of people being pursued by big brother for pirating games. I wouldn't worry about it.
  4. In Topic: That's a...Chaos Emerald!

    30 January 2010 - 07:16 PM

I've always thought people believed that Adventure onward was almost like a reboot. I guess that isn't as accepted as I had thought.

Realistically, though, there has to be more than 7. Even though 06 wrote itself out of continuity, the initial story assumes that every game prior already happened. There was that whole emerald having been in possession by someone for around 10 years thing, which if that had happened, wouldn't that imply there would at least need to be 8?
  5. In Topic: The Sonic Crossover Theory

    14 December 2009 - 06:26 AM

While I suppose this isn't quite a crossover, I would love to see the characters in a Sin City inspired setting. Not really with the amount of violence, but in terms of style and effect.

Having said that, it would be interesting if a Sonic game was developed where each stage, instead of being strictly divided by their environment, instead adhered to a certain style taking inspiration from different mediums, such as the ones named in this topic. A post-apocalyptic themed area, a steampunk themed area, a film noir themed area, and so-on and so-forth. It would certainly offer some interesting stage design, at the very least.
