Sonic jam trailers
02 August 2010 - 04:50 PM
Years ago I mixed up an awesome sonic music video from a compilation of clips split from downloaded sonic jam genesis trailers, the problem being that this was back in the days of area 51 and I have no idea where to find those trailers now.
If I can get a decent amount of fast paced footage then a might be able to remake something of the vid I created all that time ago, maybe post it on youtube.
The reason this has come on all of a sudden is that I just found the track I used to back up the clips HERE! and it sparked all sorts of feeling of nostalgia, if you listen to it you'll understand why fast pace is required.
If anyone knows where any sonic trailers are hosted for download rather than streaming that'd be great, the original was made from clips of the genesis series and sonic adventures 1 + 2 but I suppose their would be room for new footage with new releases out since then, maybe a sonic retro hack trailer featuring recorded clips from popular hacks from the members of this board would be good.
Any ideas? (But please listen to the track first, it gives an idea of the style and pace of the video, some of you may have already heard it) -
Sonic 2 soned windows issue
26 June 2010 - 08:48 AM
OK, here's the score, dusting off one of my old hacks from the shelf I decided to pospone finishing off the sprite redraw and work on some level tile editing and some new layout tests.
So, I've modified a few tiles at the begining of EHZ and all worked fine, one test done but when I modified a few blocks of the tile artwork for some reason sonic 2 freezes at the sonic and tails presents screen before the title screen.
WTF?!
Anybody know how to sort this, it's been years and years since I works on any major project and I can't belive how rusty I am but im tired of this rom sitting in my projects folder so totally unfinished and collecting dust. -
Pokemon 1st gen development info
07 June 2010 - 07:11 PM
OK, here's the deal, I gota friend thats going on about missingno, I don't know much about pokemon development but he claims its mearly a glitch-pokemon due to how you access it, so after trying a few google searches on pokemon dev, beta's and the like I gave up. So, could anyone point me towards a site that deals with pokemon lost data, betas etc like our own sonic community.
Basically, he's interested me into the "secrets" of the 1st gen pokemon games, what was removed, what hung over from previous builds and the like, and so I came to the only hangout that I spend time that deals with this kind of info.
Any help, links, post your views, im ok with it all. -
Sonic SatAM Beta!
04 May 2010 - 04:05 AM
Browsing for info on biohazard prototypes I came accross this awsome site, has a huge info archive of betas and canceled games and then I found this... SatAM Beta for the Genesis!
I only checked it out because I thought it was for sonic 1 but labled that Sega Technical Institute worked on it which was wrong so I wanted to check and see if the beta info was accurate but found it wasn't Sonic 1 at all.
Why have I never heard of this Proto? -
SMD to BIN
10 May 2008 - 03:05 AM
Ok, here's the problem, wanting to rom hack with no bin format roms!
After trying for some time to find any of the usual programms that would include this feathure like sonic hacking wiz pro from gerbilsodt I can't, only one I have found is a dos app and won't run on my xp computer.
Does anyone have a smd to bin converter or sonic hacking wiz pro?
