I can't wait for this. I never got a chance to play SMS version, mostly because I didn't know about it for a while, but I'm looking forward this.

Never read the comics but now I feel sorry for those who did.

How could that ever pass as official Sonic artwork?

    Those were dark times.

Oho, man, it didn't start getting REALLY bad until post-100. That was Da Vinci compared to some of the atrocities they unleashed. Not to mention, issue #105 is probably the worst story this side of fan-fiction that Sonic has ever been associated with.

Even as one of the most undiscerning kids in the world at the time, I couldn't stand Ron Lim.

Oh I was around for the Ron Lim era don't you worry. That artwork in addition to the stories were just attrocious. It's why I watch all the comics off of youtube now because they got enough of my money as a kid on that crap.

Agreed. Jesus Christ, do I remember how bad Ron Lim was. I remember wanting the 100s as a kid and, I swear to God I'm not making this up, the art was so offensively bad, my mom wouldn't let me have them. And to this day I'm so glad because I would have regretted it. I mean really, how hard can it be to draw a cartoon like hedgehog and fox.

Wow, I remember downloading the Japanese episodes when they first came out fan subbed, that takes me back. I'm pretty sure I used Real Player back then too, those were dark times.

Ditto. I didn't get to see most of season 2 so I downloaded all the episodes from it. 10 years...Sonic X gives me bitter sweet nostalgia. As a kid it was great, I watched it every morning, as I got older, it got less interesting. I didn't know about the Japanese dub until I was a sophomore in college. It wasn't super neat, but way more tolerable than what 4kids called themselves doing.

Yeah, I figure the 3DS was made from the same engine as all the other handhelds, and it's just not quite powerful enough to keep up, certainly not when 3D mode is on (although it seemed to pretty framedroppy even with it off, which is quite a disappointment).

Frame dropping along with, and I don't know if I'm the only one, random freezing.

Yeah, it has several framedrops, making it even freeze sometimes. Especially at Nights track.

That seems to happen on the Nights track and the Race of Ages track, which is even worse. Those aren't the only tracks the freezing occurs on. It seems to happen at any given time during races, even online and that didn't happen until last week.

Those legs. Why did Penders draw legs like that? Also that's some long body you got their Knuckles. It's like he's a green hotdog echidna now.

Christ that is horrifying. I never understand why Ken felt the need to add muscle to the character's design like that.
