A little question: Would it be possible to make Speed Up and Invincibility work properly for Modern Sonic? They wouldn't be at all useless, not any more useless than they're for Classic Sonic, so there's no reason to not have them. After playing Dario's first mod, I noticed that those powerups were quite buggy (for example, Invincibility vanishes after 2-3 seconds), but why? -

I've played the demo and I must say this game is likely to be of the same quality or even better than your previous one: the Spike shield, the Tails Doll boss, a haunted level, new varied gimmicks,etc. About the "secret" powers, they don't belong in a Sonic game, but Tails' one is kinda cool... In my opinion, Tails needs a few special gimmicks and/or alternate paths, to add enough character variety like in SBTS.
On a different note, it'd be nice to have Knuckles in this game; more specifically, how Dr. Eggman tricked him to be against Sonic. I hope you include him in a special level/battle/cutscene! -

Very nice transition, definitely much better than the previous one!
By the way, another little change you should do is putting a score tally for Scrap Brain act 3 after S1's final boss and get rid of the rather stupid "Final Zone" card. I think CollinC10 did just that for his hack, am I right?
