Is it just me, or is there some connection between these two songs?

I just ask since Metal Harbor suddenly sprang into my mind after hearing the bonus stage theme too many times while trying to fix a bug with it...

Well Jun Senoue wrote both, that's probably why. :P

To bad sonic didn't keep up with the times in his newer games, like when he was new.

You're saying you want Dubstep or rap in a Sonic game? No thank you.

Dubstep would probably work well in a modern Sonic game. At least some dubstep characteristics

oh hell no. hipster crap in sonic? it's already bad enough with cheesy buttrock...

Would it be possible to rip F-Zero: GP Legend and F-Zero: Climax with this?

Also perhaps Advance Guardian Heroes and Gunstar Super Heroes?

My friend tried to rip Gunstar Super Heroes, but he was not able to. After a quick look up, it seems that game does not use the Sappy driver, making it ineligible to be ripped with this tool. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

    Minobe
-Anything that isn't Maeda's. That's it. Anything between just 1 and 2 is strongly encouraged to be Minobe's, but so far it's not definite. Otherwise, piano-heavy themes such as the Boss themes, Casino Paradise, Egg Rocket ("6 Boss" based off of Cosmic Angel, and therefore Egg Rocket) and the Staff Roll can be reasonably assumed as him.

Egg Rocket is the clearest example of Maeda's work in the game. Listen to Gene Gadget Zone and Transfiguration from Shinobi 2002. Same with Egg Rocket. Maeda's style is prevalent on most of the level themes as well, save for Neo Green Hill, Secret Base, Casino Paradise, and Moon Zone.

As for Sonic Advance 3, I'd say Ohtani did Twinkle Snow (or he at least arranged Act 2, since that song sounds like it came straight out of Sonic Colors.), and Ocean Base being Maeda's. (has a similar style to Egg Rocket, Gene Gadget, and Transfiguration) This is assuming of course, that each stage had a separate composer (with maybe Ohtani doing a few arrangements? Act 3 of Chaos Angel sounds like him too.)

    Gene Gadget
    Egg Rocket
    Transfiguration
    Ocean Base
    Military Facility Dungeon
These songs all have the same vibe, with 3 of them confirmed as being Maeda's.
