About Me
About Me
- Hello, I am Emerald Master, my user names are "Emerald Master" / "Pixed", the reason why my primary user name is "Emerald Master" is because my birthstone is the Emerald, the birthstone of May is the Emerald in other words. I'm a Trial Member here at Sonic Retro for the time being. For now I will be posting and replying to topics VERY VERY carefully do to the fact I have a temporary, or rather limited membership at the time being. I'm able to create games, sprites, ".fnt" and ".fon" fonts and I use sound generators to...well...generate sounds, mainly retro game sounds.
The following programs that I use to generate chip sounds;
LabChirp, you can both create sounds and generate them. (My personal favorite chip sound generator.)
Bfxr, basically it's a massive improvement of Sfxr as well as a clone. Can be used online and offline. (This is my personal second favorite chip sound generator.)
Sfxr, The one chip sound generator that's the most well known.
How I aquired Trial Member
- I'm currently trying to aquire Full Membership so I (and hopefully my good friend Clutchy) will be able to post regularly like the normal Members do. Special thanks should go to Clutchy for making the video; Let's Play Charmy the Bee in Sonic the Hedgehog Part 1 - Charmy in Sonic 1?!, reason being is he managed to get both himself and I the Trial Membership position here, the way we obtained our position is JaxTH (I call him "Jax'eth" vocally sometimes) made a simple statement that I found stunning and humors because at the time Clutchy and I knew he was a member here, the statement he made was; "Well...that was quick." and when I spotted that comment...let's just say, I near broken my chair out of joy and happiness. The next morning, I pled my case a second time in the same topic I made to plead my first case in before. Ever since I, Emerald Master pled my case twice, first time was a failure and the second time was a pass, I've been enjoying Sonic Retro more than I did before I was even registered here.
While I'm creating games
- When ever I'm making or working on a game, I now do not expose any major information about the game or what's going to be in the game. I tell other users if the game is going to be confirmed to be finished or if it'll never be finished, it seems I get much farther and work on projects longer and harder when I don't expose major information about my games. Also, asking for a prototype will be rejected until the project needs testing.
