In Topic: Sonic: Lost World coming to Wii U and 3DS

^ Not quite. It's a bit more rounded, there's red on the edge of the wings, and unlike Sonic 4 Ep 2, the star emblem is back on it (They seemed to have forgotten that part for some reason). Also the Sonic on the plane uses the traditional logo font this time around.
I'm rather fond of that design. Unleashed's tornado looked cool but it was a bit too frilly, looked like a device out of a Mario Party minigame. At the same time though this one doesn't try to be exactly like the one in Sonic 2 and looks a lot nicer because of it. Sonic 4 Episode 2 tried that and it looked too boring and sterile.
Oh yes and the Skylanders aliens... not quite sure what to think about them honestly, I'll have to wait and see. On the one hand, it's good I guess that they're branching out from Sonic character designs, but on the other... they're branching out from Sonic character designs and it might not be a good fit. -

That GHZ ball is awesome. If you enter debug mode and drop enough of them on Robotnik's head, it'll actually kill him. Reminds me of when I played GTA IV and walked around using that make boat appear code on land to have boats fall on people. -

Fair point, but we are questioning the realism of Goggles protecting on from drowning in a SONIC game...
Secondly, by this logic and realism... I reiterate my second question. WHY do they function as a Shield?
For me, I just reinserted them into my hack as drowning protection that lasted for a short time, a la invincibility and speed shoes, without any sort of damage protection.
Well, to be fair, does anyone really know what the goggles were going to do? Why not make them a sort of underwater shield? Although I think a cool effect would be that the googles would remove the wavy underwater background, kind of like making it so the googles make things clearer. -

Not a huge nitpick, but some of the added sprites for Knuckles and Tails look like garbage (The ones at the end cutscene with the emeralds collected). Might want to see if someone would redraw those (Chimpo did a good job with the Tails SCD sprites, but he obviously has disappeared)
