Topics I've Started
09 June 2012 - 08:27 PMTitle says it all.
This comes from a recently dumped ISO of an E3 disc that came with an issue of Next Gen Magazine from 1997. Different icons, slightly different level layout, yadda yadda. Some fun stuff to check out.
I searched to see if this was posted, but didn't find it, so I apologize if it's already been pointed out.
EDIT: The link I meant to post: http://www.4shared.c..._1997_Disc.html
30 March 2012 - 04:14 AMBecause today just keeps getting worse
QuoteThe Consumer Business centered on SEGA CORPORATION is expected to post operating loss in the year ending March 2012, given the severe economic environment in the U.S. and Europe and rapid change in market environment of home video game software. Amid such business environment, the Company decided to implement structural reform of the Consumer Business at SEGA CORPORATION to strive for a shift to a structure corresponding to the market environment for the purpose of earnings recovery in the following period and after.
In accordance with the decision, the Company is expected to record extraordinary loss totaling around 7.1 billion yen, including costs in line with the streamlining of organizations and the canceling of development of some game software and costs for processing inventory. As for the Consumer Business in the following period and after, the Company projects decreases in operating expenses due to the reform.
Please refer to “Concerning Structural Reform of Consumer Business at SEGA CORPORATION” announced on the same day for details of the reform.
From the sounds of it, anything that isn't Sonic, Total War, Football Manager, and Aliens is getting cancelled.
25 March 2012 - 11:21 PMThis is something I've wondered for a long time but have never bothered asking. Sonic Pocket Adventure, the NGPC Sonic game, take a look:
See that? Sonic is made up of 5 colors. In other NGPC games, sprites are all made up of 3 colors:
Every other sprite in Sonic Pocket Adventure uses 3 colors:
As far as I know, the max number of colors a sprite could have on the NGPC was 3. So how did they color Sonic correctly? Did they lay 2 sprites over each other? There's not a whole lot of info out there about SPA in general, but surely someone must know, right?
31 August 2011 - 11:47 PMBasically the topic title. A person wants to sell me a Sonic the Fighters PCB and I'm not sure if I'd be overpaying or not. I bought a VF2 cab years ago (sadly since sold) complete for $300, but VF2 is pretty common, while Sonic the Fighters is not. Dude wants $400 for the Model 2 Mainboard + the Sonic the Fighters ROM board. Anybody with experience in this field - is that too much?
29 August 2011 - 02:14 PMI need the font for the text which was featured on all the later model genesis/sega cd/32X boxes, the font which "Genesis" and "Sega CD" and "32X" was actually written in. It's not on this page: http://www.clavis.ne...ct5/font.htm#03
anybody know where I can find the font?
