Although I'd love to be a part of this, all I have completed so far is 87 sprite animations (out of about twice that much). Still, great work, I hope it all works out, and if there's anything I could do I'd be happy to. I admire your dedication. Developing sprite animation can sometimes be a very tedious task, especially when you are working with large numbers of frames, but this is a lot more encompassing. -

I thought bears had claws. They'd be pretty easy to add into that, cartoon styled (though you could have never been able to discern that kind of detail in the original sprite).
You know, something like this except not crappy looking (I can't draw with a mouse to save my life).
Craptastic example
Then again you guys are a bit pressed for space for those little guys. -

Please don't use that midi and repeat the mistakes its creator/arranger made (yes I am that anal sometimes). He got an entire section of the supporting melody flat out wrong, and it took me a while to catch on (until I put on headphones). Hell, to be honest there are a few subtle parts in the original genesis version I haven't put in, though they were fairly negligible.
Edit: and with that said, here's a more accurate midi (though I can't promise it will sound better. Leave that to the mp3)
Hahahaha... wow, it's a good thing I couldn't hear that. apparently fruity loops sucks at different instruments being used for midi and makes them all the same. Retarded of it but I guess that can't be helped. Well, anyway if you can figure out what goes where you should be fine.
Accurate midi, Casino Night 2p
Further edit: Hopefully this is the last one I need to do (though I might try to complete that continuation for my own shits and giggles).

Here we go
Hopefully finished the Casino Night Zone 2p. I changed some instruments to be less prominent, as well as fixed the errors of the guy who arranged the original midI.
Now this version should be entirely accurate (except for the drum beat at the very end... couldn't seem to get the rhythm of it to side right some how). Fruity loops seems to lad oddly when you record through it.
This loops once but doesn't fade out.
Edit: well the loop fucked up... meh. I'll fix it later.
Fixed! Are there any errors? -

As to that, it's always possible to retain a similar feeling if you continue to use the rhythmic texture of the song (and variations of the themes/motifs themselves), but I'm sure that would sound jarring to whomever wasn't expecting those sounds to be there.
On the topic of continuations, what's your opinion on segas extended version of Lava Reef Zone 1? It was never in s&k but it was a fairly different direction for them to take.
Edit: it's an mp3 track off some album sega released after the fact I think. I'm going to have to do some digging around because I don't have it anymore (hdd crashes). If I find it I'll pm you
