Well it's been a good few years since I really updated you all on the status of my hack. I got tired of Sonic 2 so I've decided to go with S3K using the s3k disassembly I made with the help of Stealth's SK disassembly for labels. I stripped s3k bare and brought only the stuff I needed as I went, So only Radon Factory is in. I have a nice video here to display the engine test. I hope you all like and this is only the first area of act 1. You'll have to keep in tune with the updates to find out what areas are within acts. I hope you all enjoy!

Also I know people will complain about it saying "Sonic 4" it's just designated there since It's an upgraded version of "Sonic 3" so.

Old Post:

In this topic I will be releasing public Roms and showing my updates, To start off the first post I am Releasing the Music Alpha. Yes it is very incomplete and lacks the levels and objects I shown in previous updates as thisi s only the music version.

Things to look out for:

Dac is a bit buggy but is to be expected since it's an Alpha.
The songs I ported from MIDI's and elsewhere.
Uncompressed songs are still bugged and will be fixed later on. 18,1C Etc..
HPZ is on the Level Select as Desolate Cavern the only change here is that the Emerald is a badnik that can be hit from underneath.

More updates to come.

Did Tweaker not already know that?

Besides, you can only "crack" music formats if they have copy protection. Choose a different word.

Edit 2: Use the Auto Checksum Fix in Gens!

Don't release ROMs with broken checksums. There are at least two utilities out there that can fix it with a minimum of effort.

Well this is just a test release for people interested in it, It got kinda rushed but an update will be posted later on when I finish some important things. With a Fixed Checksum.

So, what, were you under some kind of external pressure to get this thing out ASAP? If not, then what reason do you have to post a broken ROM? I don't follow your thinking here.

granted, I can barely follow my OWN thinking...

A lot of people wanted to see a public release. Pretty much I decided to have this release be it.

I still don't see why
A) You give a shit what other people want to see
B) You couldn't have taken the five seconds to fix the checksum before uploading this

If you only ported some music, why is everything else messed up? You didn't even align any of your Nemesis art at an even address.

it's not for levels, It's for music. Wait for an update if you want to play the levels.

.. what's the point of releasing something that's almost all unplayable? o.O If it was just for music it would've been easier just to upload MP3s.

I'll listen tomorrow, as I must sleep before I pass out against the keyboard. :x

Eh making the MP3s is a waste of Disk Space, Also people could finally get a hand at hand at seeing the level select even though there is a glitch for the soundtest on it that I have yet to fix.

Nice music, and I don't know what they're talking about, it was perfectly playable for me, however the art needs work and this hack would work awesome with custom levels.

Love the music, I like where the art style's going...

EDIT: Nevermind... it's not totally unplayable, but... yeah....

I was expecting to play that levels you was working on, but good job with the music.

But that level select screen is very confusing. @_@
