You know, it wouldn't be beyond him to lie about who he is to get people to stop harassing him.
Or maybe it's a different guy. Who knows, though - how many Simon Wais do you think live in Canada, and are hosted by Dreamhost? :P

I don't recall our Simon Wai ever giving his full name...

Hi again. Is your friend Chinese (as I am)? you may have better luck if you try searching his proper full name. Of course, there are many many "David Chans" or "Peter Wangs" in Canada -- we have a large Chinese population here, so searching only by their English nicknames are not very useful. :-)

I dunno, his text isn't like Simon's was. He's somewhat more informal.
Although it does seem coincidental that two Simon Wais, both from Canada, should both be interested in "binary newsgroups" and be hosted by Dreamhost.

Funny, how nearly everyone who replied on the first page is no longer a full member, banned, gone, inactive, or otherwise dead.
It makes me wonder how much there would be for Simon to come back to; for the place, as it is now, isn't really what he left.

Yeah, I don't even have any say in the matter - I can not and will not call it S2B.
Apparantly LocalH didn't have much say in the matter... People still call it "S2B". I don't think I've seen S2Beta used in months. I realize that it's the domain name, but eh. =P

Actually, the text originally said "I can not and will not call it SWS2B", but a search-and-replace was done on the whole mysql db to change "SWS2B" to "S2B" =P
