monitors.....fix o.o

Yeah, I know.

You never did tell me which part about them you don't like. The monitors, or the contents?

I like your choice of BGMs. Most work great with their zone, except for the Sandopolis music in City Outskirts. I enjoyed the new level layout in Sunset Hill Act 1 too. Palllette choices are good for the most part too. I look foward to seeing the rest of the levels redesigned.

Whoa, didn't everyone know?

Sorry guys, forgot to mention the credits...

Sonic 65 - Various music ports, now on the project. (I did my fair share of ports too, though. And I had to fix his. =P)

StephenUK - Palettes, on the project from the start.

Anyone else I forgot - Mention yourself.

Great hax. Everyone seems to be doing ubar stufz but me. =(

You've just allowed me to prove my hypothesis.

Did you tweak Sonic's airborne speed, max speed or acceleration? He seemed to get to moving much faster than normal, and it threw me off for a bit.

Good use of the music, though it sounded like some of them were off tempo a bit. Also, some voices sounded like they were ported perfectly, but other are off big time. Whether that's intentional or not, a couple voices (especially in Sonic 2's Final Boss theme) are terribly inappropriate and could stand being looked at.

As far as 'Monitors. Fix' goes, I also didn't like the new rings icon, especially when compared to the shield (which wasn't changed). Changing things just for the sake of difference is a bad thing.

Only other thing is you may want to record new demos for both the attract mode and the end credits sequence.

Other than those minor things, this hack is quite good. I've never heard a total music replacement before, and its a sign of more complete hacks to come.

That could also apply to the end-of-level, drowning and game over tunes, or Sonic's high-pitched jump sound. Some things are better left untouched. =(

But anyway, I love those music ports. The Sonic 3D music would have worked very nicely in a 2D Sonic game.

I downloaded to try it out and I must say, I'm liking it and it's really coming along nicely, but I have to agree about the music in what used to be Spring Yard Zone, I wonder if the Flying Battery Zone music would fit? :)

But overall, this is a great hack I've played. :D

Great job and keep up the good work there! :)

Edit: I know this might be going too far, just thought I point this one out, that's all: :blushing:

I personally think the Final boss theme from Sonic CD work better than the Sonic 2 one.

At my views... This is what I say, after playing it for a while. I'll make my views about all subjects.

Pallette    20
Graphics     5
Layout       5
Technical   15
Music       20
--------------
Total       65/100

My comment: You are doing it so good with this project. If you try to make it an all-around work, you're sure in front of one of the best hacks ever. Keep at it ;)
