Aha, but there may be some leftovers from previous builds, eg. the unused stuff in our beta.
The only unused thing in Rev 01 and 02 is that door from ARZ... or was it HTZ? I can't remember. But that was, I think, the only leftover graphic. There may be more in this version. And, LocalH has a point, that SEGA knew that people had all the revisions, and would make all efforts to have it work with all the versions. Hey, if a new version's this close, keep your hopes up a little-it's what we did with LocalH's Sonic 3 EPROM, and sure, it wasn't any different, but at least we know now...

Rika, by what means did you obtain this cart?
Is it just a normal, everyday Soic 2 cart? Not for resale?

Here it is. I checked with hex, and this is indeed Rev.00!
I then did a file compare with Hex workshop, and there is quite a bit of differences other than the header. :P
ENJOY! Please help me spread this far and wide!

Actually, I bought it a few years ago. It came with my Sega CD that I got from Ebay. It does *not* have the NRF sticker.

First thing I checked was the object entries. Their pointers are at the same location as Rev 01.
Sonic entry in Rev 00: 19F5C
Sonic entry in Rev 01: 19F50
So this is indeed different. And it is in the program code. I bet bug fixes!

I posted this back on SCARZ:
While entering the Level Select and debug codes, I came across Sound Test #02, EHZ. This song is definitely different from r01, with some quieter notes.

Disable checksum by writing 4E 71 4E 71 at offset 33A in Rev 00

Excuse me, I'll be the judge of that.

Wow, nice one Rika, this is awesome! Could you scan in the cart so we can see what it looks like?
