Dragonball Xenoverse Hacking General Because Melpontro is doing cool stuff.

With our friends Melpontro (and Dario) moving on to DB Xenoverse hacking, I figured we should open up a general discussion on hacking Dragonball Xenoverse since its pretty well liked here. hopefully this doesn't mean their current Generations projects are canceled but hell I'd love to see Xenoverse get some awesome stuff added to it.

Heres mel's current works, new skins for Gohan, Nappa, and Bardock all in ver. 1.0. what do you guys think?

At the moment I'm trying to fix the Time Breaker Bardock up a bit, but a lot of that will have to wait until LibXenoverse is further developed.

Might wanna take out the "s" in a few of those Http urls and label the rest, so we can get an idea.

And you peaked my curiousity, So what is "LibXenoverse"?

LibXenoverse is the set of Xenoverse modding tools that are under constant development.

There isn't too much documentation on them yet, but they are pretty straightforward to use.

Wow, awesome. didn't think modding tools would be done right away. so tell me, how easy or hard is hacking/modding Xenoverse compared to Generations?

Also, are you and Dario's Gens. projects on hold while your working on Xenoverse?

Modding Xenoverse isn't really all that different from Generations or any other games, it all just depends on the quality of the tools.
Melponterations development is slow due to my level designer being busy with other commitments.


I made a basic guide on how to install mods, hopefully it gets the point across well enough.

So, will we eventually see the following?:

  • Full model replacement (like adding Sonic or Link or whoever)
  • Possibly adding new character slots
  • Swap-able and having the ability to make or modify skills
  • Stage customization
