Their justification for that is golden. Apparently when doing the mockup posters they forgot to add "Wii U" when putting the consoles it's off to, and went "well, this actually looks nice as is".
Yep.
Anyways, didn't we already have a Gamefreak page? We ought to, with Pulseman at least, plus Sugimori's constant SEGAwanking.

How odd that it isn't on the Wii U but everywhere else.
There already is one, see:
Game Freak.

Ah, with the wiki's search broken I didn't even decide to check.

Well actually, it's only on PS4, PC, and Xbone. So I wonder if this is a case of them having developed it on PC first, and since PS4 and Bone are basically just that, then it was easy enough to do it. GameFreak isn't exactly the best developer when it comes to the technical aspects.

This is probably the real reason its not on Wii U. Though I think next you have to think about how well 3rd party eShop titles sale. Not very many crack the top 30 on the system, its mostly Nintendo titles.
This has been a issue with Nintendo and 3rd parties for a long time... sadly its getting worse.

In this case, it seems unlikely that hardware is the issue. According to Gamereactor's interview the game is made with Unity, which Nintendo has made pretty clear supports the Wii U.

Well then, I figure it's probably SEGA's idea moreso than GameFreak's. I mean, doesn't the Wii U SDK even come with a Unity development kit for free? So, Nintendo is a SERIOUS supporter of that engine.

Looks kinda bland. It also managed to do the one thing I hated about NSMB Wii: freezing the whole game for a split second every time something happens. Screw that. Totally destroys the flow of the game. It made NSMB Wii unplayable with my brothers who die constantly
10/10 would not buy

Ok, so it's a little less shallow then the trailer made it look. Tentatively looking forward to it.

I played this at EGX Rezzed on Thursday, it was actually pretty fun!
You can charge infinitely to just smash everything in front of you, shoot water to put out fires or grow plant platforms or what have you, ground pound, a diagonal ball bounce attack which comes out pretty fast, an uppercut to get things above you and some kinda flutter jump like Yoshi or Klonoa.
Played a tutorial and two levels, which basically have you going through a level smashing up bad guys and saving hostages. Definitely something to consider getting. It also has a really nice cartoony artstyle, with everything producing the SFX effects like it's something from a comic book.

I'm loving everything I'm seeing and hearing from this game. Game Freak really should make non-Pokémon games more often...

It looks like they will. They talk a bit
in this interview about how Game Freak now lets its developers make smaller projects aside from the usual Pokémon stuff. So far from that they've made HarmoKnight, Solitiba and now Tembo. Besides that they've also been making various prototypes.

Played it at rezzed as well. Kind of fun, reminded me of Wario a bit.
Although I was a little annoyed that a sega/gamefreak game was allowed to be shown in the indie section of the event.
