This is so incredibly clever on so many levels. Seriously, are their website contests for this sort of thing. Something like this should be entered in one.

So far I've gain a F, B and C rank. EDIT: I just got an A Rank!

So I found a small bug while using the javascript Cheats.
Once you get the first two emeralds using the Cheat, use the same method to find the 3rd one, but don't click on it.
Go to your browser settings and delete your bowser history and cookies.
Now once you click on the Emerald, a prompt box will come up asking you to log in if you want to do the emerald hunt.
Click Okay, and log in.
Then back your browser up to the page where the emerald was located.
Click on any link that will take you off that page. (I clicked on Someone's name)
Back up to the page once more.
The last Emerald should Appear. profit
Once you click it, you will be scored and graded as if you found them all legit.

Not very useful unless you just feel like bragging about how you have 99 A Ranks and no F Ranks.

I just found an emerald inside General Sonic Discussion which isn't too bad until I realized it was inside a 72 page topic...

Still got a B though :D

Shockingly, the last two were in the Member's Lounge, but on the 3rd and 1st pages respectively. Still didn't stop me from getting a C.

Also, is it just me, or do the points accumulate with each run?

500 points, 7 minutes, rank D

I'm not sure I've ever been happier on or with Retro

How do you use the javascript cheats, anyway? I'd like to see the hacking result.

On firefox, right-click, inspect element, then click on console.

But the cheat isn't so hard to figure out. It should leave a few of you chuckling.

Of course there are ways around the cheat, but seriously, if you need to cheat to feel good on a forum game that's been made for a bit of fun then there's something wrong. :v:

All of you complaining about the Member's Lounge had it easy. I had one emerald in there on page 150-something. I knew I shoulda started from the last page and then work my way back. -_-

Really cool game, though. It's fun. ^.^

If you set your post display to the default, it actually goes higher than any of the selectable options, and that way the Member's Lounge "only" has 82 pages.

Also, it seems to me that clicking on the next page NUMBER instead of the arrow seemed to load a bit faster for whatever reason. I still haven't discerned a reliable way to quickly hone in on which topic an emerald is in once I get to the page. For a while I was holding my mouse in one spot and quickly scrolling down the list, but I tended to miss it that way. It's also not a bad idea to hold that CTRL button and scroll in and out as you play.

Maybe we should write one of those OFFICIAL strategy guides for the game.

When it comes to finding the topic, I quickly tap the down arrow on my keyboard (holding it makes the page go too fast) at the same time I move my mouse up and down. As soon as I notice the radar change slightly, I can find the post easily in that area generally at the bottom of the page.

This is totally amazing, having more fun with this than the actual levels in Sonic Adventure 2!

Excellent work! :specialed:

Gave it another shot to see if it would start working, but it didn't, and when I clicked to end early I got AJAXEND'd.

...Man, all these F Ranks on my record. :(
