Has there been any progress in the last 6 months, or are your discs just sitting with Nemesis collecting dust?
I don't recall you posting any updates about that process since he got the discs.

Nemmie's got one final hurdle to overcome, and once achieved, things will progress much more swiftly. He's overseas at the moment (or just about) and has a young family to take care of. It's not like the good old days when we could take a week off school and work through the night.

Bi Ryojon Collection Vol 1 - Minayo Watanabe
Interestingly, not classified as an "Adult" game by Pioneer, but as "Electronic Publishing." I guess this means no nudity, with only suggestive non-nude pin ups.
EDIT: Bi Ryojon Collection Vol 2 - Yuko Sakaki

Are the Mega LD discs region free? Do they work with both the S1 and S10 or do you have to get the Japanese releases for the S1 and American releases for the S10?

I'm 99% sure the mega ld games are region free, it's only the mega drive/genesis and mega/sega cd playback that are region specific. Can't confirm cos Nemmie has all my gear.

Thanks for the info.
Are the the actual CLD A100 LaserActive plyers region free for Laser Disc movies?
Could you play movies from US/Japan on either of the US or Japan models and can they play PAL movies?
Sorry for more questions, and if you can't answer those due to not having your stuff at the moment, also understood. Just figured you might have tested the movies previously...

yep, movies are region free, the only exception is that it can't play PAL discs, only NTSC. Laserdiscs didn't really take off in PAL territories though, so it doesn't matter much.

Only issue with the LaserActive as a standard LD player is that it's not exactly top of the line since it doesn't have the ability to read both sides of a disc like other more sophisticated LD players could.

But that spoils the magic of having to flip/change the disc every 30min - watching an LD movie is a tactile experience.
There are other downsides too, I couldn't figure out how to do a frame advance other than inputting the full frame number each time, which makes viewing stills galleries a nightmarish chore.
