So I was helping my good pal Lighthead with his music section.

I ripped the Sonic 3D Blast PC/Saturn music right from my old PC disc for him to use. I then started to listen to the soundtrack and when I got ot Volcano Valley I noticed something startling. Act 1 and Act 2 are switched! In short they are mislabeled. I thought my memory was playing crazy tricks on me, so I replayed through the entire game and sure enough I was right. The one with the extra horns is act 2, not act 1.

This is a problem, since even YOU GUYS got it wrong.

The whole mixup is even spreading misinformation.

I know in the end it isn't a big deal, but shouldn't this be fixed?

I misread the topic title and was expecting a mash-up of Volcano Valley and Final Fortress :(

How in the world did you get that? "Mixup?"

Also because direct url youtube links don't work for some reason. I was trying to post this as well up there. It is where I got the quote.

I know what you mean. This bugs me a lot, too. The order of the audio tracks is weird on the PC version like that. Rusty Ruin also has its Acts 1 and 2 switched on the tracklist.

I thought this was a remix too, so you're not the only one.

Anyway, on the MegaDrive, in the sound test, Act 1 & 2 are the wrong way around. :v:

IIRC, doesn't Volcano Valley come before Diamond Dust on the CD too?

I'm not sure, and I don't know where my PC version is at the moment so I can't check.

I fixed the order on the wiki, but the mp3s themselves are still incorrectly titled.

Yes. Diamond Dust also has this [OST act-switching] issue (along with RR and VV as noted)

And yeah I did think it was a remix. Why not Volcano Valley switched Act1 and Act2 Switched?
