Sega and Shaw Wallace partnership

Now, Kotaku isn't exactly the most reliable site, though Wikipedia seems to agree (citing two sources for that - in fact it has more sources than the rest of the article =P). Basically, when Sega was trying to sell the Mega Drive in India, they had partnered with Shaw Wallace, which is a liquor manufacturer, to distribute the console. Apparently they did this to work around an 80% import tariff. Does anybody have more information about this?

Also there's no Shaw Wallace page in Sega Retro =P

But there is History of Sega in India which I started yesterday

It's a pointless challenge trying to gather information about these sorts of countries. Google just returns hundreds of different video sites hosting this advert. This one YouTube upload from 2008 constitutes half the information out there
