This is kinda off topic, but if you guys are trying to use whatever the latest nullDC is, and that's where you're getting lag, then I encourage you to try DEmul as well. When nullDC went from 1.2.6b or whatever it was to 1.3, my Intel Pentium 4 PC over there across the room simply couldn't handle it anymore. But using the old version, I was able to emulate just fine, albeit with more graphical glitches. DEmul on the other hand, ran too fast on that computer, so I had to actually apply frame-limiting. It may not be as pretty as nullDC, but it's worth a shot! Especially considering a lot of laptops are more capable than that thing—although it has a dedicated GPU, unlike most laptops.

Also, I heard you guys like widescreen...
Because nobody said anything about the height.

It looks like the dimension is being torn apart.

...unused Sonic Generations cutscene?

Ah, playing Adventure 2 again never seems to get old. The two adventures will always hold a special place in my heart for some reason. If there was enough time in the day, I would find myself trying to complete Adventure 2 from start to finish in one sitting. Definitely looking forward to this new release so I can give that a try! On the subject of emulation though, I've also found DEmul to work excellently in the event that nullDC doesn't do the job for you.

I really only play SA2 anymore for the Chao Garden. It's probably the best side-game ever.
Totally. That's the only reason for me as well. So I'm happy that it's coming out for Xbox. I'll finally have another reason to play the story! GAMERSCORE!!! (stupid achievements...so pointless)

maybe this time I'll actually be able to get all emblems...nah

Can't wait for this game though.SA2 was the first Sonic game I went to the store for every day until they got it in stock. (back in those days Walmart didn't get new games until almost a week after release)

This is gonna be good! I haven't had a chance to play the gamecube version alot and I don't think I've ever even seen a Dreamcast in real life...

I almost wish not to see this happen. I want to see them redo Adventure 1 and 2 into some sort of combined game. I don't care how it gets done, and they can lose a level here and there for all I care. Just make it happen. And by "remake" I mean "redo." Like take some creative liberties from the story and combine them into one game. Get rid of Big, E-102, and Rouge, make Shadow a NPC and more of a plot device, and make Tails run around without a mech and give him some more Sonic like levels only minus the racing (Make the game like SA2 where there are no hub worlds, so SA1 will have the same 11 levels it had before, but divide them to Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles (5 for Sonic, 3 each for the other two). Basically, just pretend the originals never existed.

But that's not going to happen here. Oh no. So I'll list a couple of hopefuls and throw it into the "we'll see" category.

1. Widescreen support. No excuses this time.
2. Either improve or replace the character models. Rouge's entire body is boobs. Also, each cutscene she's in she has an upward camera angle that emphasizes the bottom of her tits. WHY?

The rest is just what I want to see

3. Get rid of the SOAP shoes
4. Enable playing as other characters of the same type in other characters levels (Tails in Weapons Bed, Metal Sonic in GHZ, whatever)
5. Redo the voice acting and sync up the fucking mouths.
6. 9/10 Chance this game will be built off of SA2B. If it is, and if they use the same character models, for the love of god fix Sonic's end of act pose.
7. Get rid of the ridiculous "Battle" crap. SA2 is enough thanks.
8. Make all powerups non-visible. Knuckles looks just foolish towards the end of the game. I understand that he's black but this goes for all black people as well. Enough bling, you look ridiculous.

A redo, or as it will be more commonly known as, Sonic Adventure 3 Generations with lock on technology. Wouldn't it be epic to buy that game I just made up and have it say "Oh you downloaded that HD port. All those levels have been unlocked in multiplayer mode and challenge mode!!"? That would be EPIC!!!

Wait, get rid of the SOAP shoes? But that's the best part! :P

You've never seen a Dreamcast? Wow. I feel really bad for you. You don't have any Play n Trades or other retro game stores close to you? And if you don't, at least get the GC version off of Amazon. It fluctuates in price, but they're pretty low now.

Most of the Dreamcast's library has been ported to the Gamecube, so I wouldn't exactly say it's a necessity.

Of course, I love the Dreamcast itself, I love it's aesthetic and all. But I thinking pity on someone for never having seen one is a bit overdramatic :v:

My co-worker has a Dreamcast I might hopefully be buying off him, if he'll actually bring it in.

Although I dunno what games he has with it, if he has none I'm interested in I'll go look in them retro game shops.

I was there, and so I can confirm that they announced the SA2 port there. The trailer was playing the music that was used when Sonic was in jail. It's coming this Fall. Also, for some reason, the beginning of the trailer had images of several pages of Sonic 4...announcements? (I just remember seeing webpages with Sonic 4 logos)

The trailer was making fun of how every major Sonic announcement Sega has is always leaked out. It's nice seeing them honor that this happens and just make fun of it.

Our article was on it as well. :specialed:

I've been hoping SEGA would upload the trailer sometime, but since it's not a traditional trailer I'm not sure if it'll happen...

Speaking of Dreamcasts, mine needs to get the battery in it replaced. I'm hesitating on sending it to anybody, and I'm not going to try and fix it myself for obvious reasons.

... Anyways, part of me really hopes that the Chao Garden will get expanded somehow for this release (online stuff). Maybe if it gets popular enough, it'll return for future games?

Don't expect too much with an Online. While it's a no-brainer that online functionality will please Chao fans to no end, it's looking like SA2's only online is leaderboards.
