Hornet is a car from Daytona USA. People think of it as a character because you could use it as a fighting character in the Sega Saturn game Fighters Megamix.

Danica Patrick as a playable character, what in the actual frag?

I'm not pleased at all with the inclusion of Danica Patrick in the game. If they wanted to put some NASCAR in the game...well,sega has the greatest NASCAR Game IP ever, Daytona USA!!! WHY NOT THE FUCKING HORNET?! and also, if sega is so financially low, why does they waste money branding a NASCAR racer?! if they need advertisement, there are surely lots of places they could do it, who fit much better and has more coverage than NASCAR. It's only known in the USA...they don't want to promote the game on other countries? It doen't fit AT ALL with the game, I seriously doubt anyone who is interested in NASCAR would be interested in a wacky racer like this. Wrong public, Sega.

And if they really really really wanted to put a NASCAR celebrity in the game...why Danica?! She's not even a good racer!! She is more famous for showing up nude in magazine covers than for actually winning races. Wanted to attract people for "lol tits" factor? Put in Bayonetta!! She is sexier than Danica anyways AND IS A FUCKING SEGA IP WHO IS LOVED BY THE FANS.

I just can't understand all of this. I know sega needs money, but...can't they get it by other means more...logical? This is a complete nonsense and is gong to fuck up very badly. They can only half-fix this by letting Danica drive the hornet ingame, and even if if they do, it will be bastardice knowing she is in it, and surely having to hear her lines.

Honestly, does it really matter? She's an extra along the lines of Banjo and Kazooie, and let's face the bottom line. Not a damn person that was interested in this game is suddenly NOT going to get it just because of the inclusion of one character. From what I understand, the Hornet is already going in Rigde Race for the Vita anyway.

NASCAR doesn't exactly get top billing in Europe. I didn't hear about her until I came over here. She competes in a sport dominated by men, with the men, and apparently does quite well. That's a semi big deal here.
