Come on now, guys, you knew the inevitable "NEW SONIC GAME OH MY GOD!" mp3 had to be coming. It's a tradition now.

Oh cool, the iOS screen doesn't fucking tilt when going through loops.
That was easily the most annoying thing ever.

Huh, even on Firefox, I don't hear the sound. Oh well.
God, whoever made Special Stage 7 apparently had some vendetta against the world or something. I love the half-pipe special stages in Sonic 2, but these weren't that good at all. Special Stage 7 is just godawful, and the molasses-like movement doesn't help in the slightest. I'm really scared about what's going to happen with Blue Spheres in Episode 3.

Special Stage 7 is easy. If you boost through the corkscrew of rings at the end of phase 2, you'll probably have between 400 and 500 rings before the final part even starts. The trick is to hold left and start boosting right after you jump over the row of bombs before the tunnel.

Yeah, I figured that out after trying to work out how to go around the tube. I tried boosting once, and I didn't make it around. It's not that the stage itself it hard, it's more how the camera is. Stuff coming around the corner befre you have time to react, half of the pipe being blocked by the ring counter while going in a loop(?), and the camera being so low to the ground in general. The combination of all of those things, in my opinion, made Special Stage 7 as big of a pain as it was. It's not that bad now, but goddamn.

Anyone else really disappointed in the low poly environments in the iOS port? Newer iOS devices should be able to render environments pretty close to what we've seen in the Tegra 3 android port. The lightning is vomit inducing as well.

No, not at all. I think the game looks fantastic for a 2.5D game on the IOS. You'd have to be at a standstill looking really close at the screen to notice anything like that. In motion, I could barely tell the difference between the two. An besides, its so much better than what Ep I looked like

Please tell me someone thought of this when they saw the final boss:
I about lept up and screamed when I saw it.
Anyways the game? Awesome. Sega learned well, and many things have changed for the better. There is the niggles with physics but those aside, it definitely seems that Dimps took some of that heavy criticism from Ep 1 and applied it. We can only hope that if an Ep 3 is made, it will continue this trend.
The episode Metal content was a bit lackluster, but what was I expecting for free anyways? Good Job Sega and Dimps. It was good. Still should have been 10$ though.

Hey, is this game worth the $15 or should I wait for one of those Steam sales where it goes down to around $5-$10? I'm also wondering if I should buy Episode 1, so I can get Episode Metal.
I have Episode 1 on my 360, which is currently being repaired and Microsoft Points over here are seriously overpriced.

I'd say give it a wait for a steam sale. $15 is a little high. $10 is more reasonable.
