I'll repeat what I said before. The lack of actual gameplay footage is stupid, though I expected it. And I'm being stupid and letting my hopes get up again for new physics and graphics engine.
Just to squash any false hopes... Taxman already told us that the Retro Engine WON'T be used, correct?
At 0:17... possible team-based attacks? It does say "With All New Surprises" right before. Maybe they're taking a Sonic Advance 3 influence, which I wouldn't be opposed to.
Project:I'm working on a cartoon based on the Genesis games called Sonic Boom.
Well, can't say I expected anything more out of this teaser, but it's still disappointing no gameplay was shown. I'm really interested in the new physics though. I enjoyed Episode 1, but as long as they don't butcher the physics even more, a new physics engine has me interested.
And the lack of a Wii version makes me glad I got my PS3 last year. Hopefully this will be a longer game due to it.
Tails, new physics engine, new graphics engine along with the new music soundfront(?) as well? This will be interresting, oh yes. I'll be waiting impatiently for footage. Please don't keep us hanging for 4 months now, you hear, Ken?

I thought they confirmed that each episode would include 4 Zones, 3 Acts, and a Boss act for each Zone.
If they're willing to overhaul physics and graphics, I'd like to believe they'd be willing to alter the game length as well. From what we've heard from Iizuka and just from this announcement it sounds like the plan has changed a bit. If they kept it the same, can't say I wouldn't expect it, though, however disappointing as it may be.
I won't be giving Sega any credit until I see this thing in motion. Episode 1 was a horrible game imo, and they promised a much better product. Will save my judgement for now.
Oh joy. I wonder how the game will explain the absence of Tails in episode 1. >_> I really hope this will be a lot better than the last episodic game. Tails, new graphics and physics engine, and Sonic Generations gives me hope.
