By using the Boardmaster skill in Sonic Generations, Sonic skates across almost every skate-able area in the main levels.
Split into 2 parts, these videos cover the Classic & Modern Eras, with Classic Sonic doing the skateboarding. Big up Tony Hawk's team for winning at Sonic Generations of Skate.
This is not a mod, recorded on my Torch (sorry its not HD), played on my PS3, enjoy!

Where is that sweet Hydrocity remix from? It's beyond awesome.

That's Tee Lopes' remix, as heard here.

A remix of a song from a 3D Sonic game for the 2D era video, but a remix of a song from a 2D Sonic game for the 3D era video. Interesting. >_> Cool videos.

  • Oh, that hit single "Summertime Loving, Loving in the Summer (Time)"?

Not my intention to hijack the thread, but does anyone else think that out of all possible powerups to give classic Sonic, this is by far the best one? It just screams 90's. If Sonic could have a backup skateboard or two for this powerup, it would be perfect.

It would be the best if you could use it more than once in a level.

(also...I'm not sure I see a point of this topic.)

I agree that it's one of the best power-ups, riding through levels with "Super Sonic Racing" playing is the coolest thing ever. I still think the lightning shield is a better power-up though.

Classic Sonic just skating along this collapsing and spiral pathway up to the Goal Ring in Sky Sanctuary Act 1 was probably the best thing I've seen to start my day. Also, that Hydrocity remix Tee Lopes made is an absolute must for my Music Library.

If you didn't know any better, you could believe that remix was an official recording intended for a (scrapped) Hydrocity level in Generations. It's that good!

You could say that about all of Tee's stuff.
