Hrm, given the advancemets in Sonic Generations hacking, would submiting a hack of Generations be acceptable? :3 (not saying I am/am not plannig on making one)
If so, would sending the files to be replaced be acceptable since the game's make of three huge packed files?

File replacement is fine, but do remember that not all judges will be able to play PC submissions.

My computer can handle Generations with flying colours and I would be more than honoured to see some hacks of that game grace my screen. There's simply so much potential there.

Since we are a few months away from the deadline, here is a reminder:
There are a few things that will be announced soon. Stay tuned for further information. In the meantime, check out the first post for information on taking part.

This year's deadline for hacks to be submitted is Saturday 20th July 2012. No late hacks will be accepted, so be sure to get your hack in on time or face disappointment. There will be a period of time where submissions that have been entered successfully into the contest can be updated with new builds for judging, which will be until Saturday 27th July.

Hopefully, I'll have this thing figured out by the deadline.
Otherwise, there's always 2013! Right?!

Just to let everyone know that we have a month to go until the Deadline of Saturday July 20th! The deadline for updates will be Saturday July 27th so if you enter something you feel to be incomplete, you have a week to get stuff sorted.
Just like last year, the Contest Week will run alongside SAGE which will take place during August 6th - 12th this year. The schedule for the Hacking Contest events will be released once it has been finalised with the SAGE staff, although the main events will be the public evaluation and results show at the end of the week.
So yeah, get stuff submitted, let's have a good contest this year!

I apologise about this, a silly mistake was made when making the deadlines. Because of that, the deadlines have been altered by a day as the threads were posted that the deadlines were on Saturdays.
The submissions deadline is now Saturday 21st July.
The updates deadline is now Saturday 28th July.

Submitted the demo of my game. Only a year later than I expected to release the demo since I got distracted with other homebrews, hacks, and research.

E-mailed my submission. Should any extra notes or stipulations be made if another person gave large assistance to the project?

It is worth crediting the people who were involved with this project. If a judge had provided significant assistance then said judge would be barred from judging the entry.
I have your submission, but feel free to send in an updated entry with your additional information.

You're in the "Special Thanks" in my hack. Does that mean you're barred from judging my hack?

Nothing is in the hack now from myself so I think it can slide.
