Generations is now on PSN for 30$ in Canada. I'm too lazy to convert so check it out yourselves.

What I hated was the final boss battle( time eater) totally didn't meet my expectations.

Yeah, I agree. Because of that, I find the 3DS's battle ironic: it's amazing compared to the console version. When I got to it my first time, I was saying "Oh, great. Another Time Eater battle I have to go through." But after I had played through it, I didn't necessarily love it, but I did when I compared it to the console version. There really isn't a contest, I think. Does anybody have any particular stories on this whole thing? This was mine, pretty much.

That seems to be the general concensus. I know I like the handheld battle better, to a point where both Sonics playing in 2D sort of gets on my nerves.

Yep!!! The 3DS version of the battle was definitely better. One thing about the console versions was how the rings were improperly placed and sometimes blend in with the background. It's really annoying.

So I hear SEGA is spoiling you, you fine Englishmen. I bet a bunch of you have useless codes now.

Would love one of those codes, but lack of money to offer for one presents a problem, and for that very reason I couldn't make it myself XD Ah well, such is life. Still playing this on a regular basis on PS3 though <3

Reading that makes me incredibly sad that I couldn't go to SOS. The codes going out, the QnA and the Sumo Digital panel all really sounded great. :/

I've been wanting to get Generations for PC for ages but never had the money. (I have it for PS3, but my console's been acting up recently.)

Here, I got'choo guys covered:

BOY IT SURE WOULD BE NICE IF SOMEONE WOULD BE NICE ENOUGH TO GIVE CERTAIN PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE GENERATIONS ON PC GENERATIONS ON PC.

But seriously, I'd get it anyway you could. *Ahem* On a good enough PC, the framerate's twice as high and all the mods coming out are going to make it just as much the definitive version as TF2 is before too long.

Boy, I make some weird-ass run-on sentences when I've been up for 22 hours...

fff that's not true

Okay maybe a bit but the whole missing out on SOS for those other reasons is a larger factor since I've already got the game on console

This is probably off-topic though. My apologies if it is.

Oh hey guys Sonic Generations is on the Steam summer sale at the moment with 66% off, if you FOR SOME REASON haven't bought the game yet.

Even if you own it on Ps3 or 360, PC would be the best version due to all the mods being made, as mentioned earlier in this thread.

£6.79 thanks to the sale? Oh well, I just happen to have some spare money, so I've finally snapped up the PC version!

Thanks for the heads up, RuRi.

I wish I had a computer strong enough for Generations...I'm not even going to try on this laptop.

I'd pretty confident in my laptop's ability to play Generations on lower settings, the only problem is it's a Mac. It's times like these when I reconsider getting it. I know I have Boot Camp, but I just don't want to use it. I'm a bit paranoid that it'll do something to my Mac. I don't even use the multimedia software that came with it, like Garageband (Which is cool to play around in and make ringtones, but not what it was necessarily made for), iMovie, things a lot of PC users would be jealous of. I know that's what was initially compelling to me.

Well guys, I'd atleast recommend getting it while it's so cheap, since it'll never leave your steam account, so you can hold onto it until you having something powerful enough to run it.
