I bet this one is not going to count, because I already uploaded a ROM, but with the old stuff, this one has new stuff like the Title Screen (WIP), and a new BG in the first level.
Layout by MarkeyJester, with random edits by me (engine differences)

I like the title screen, but what's the deal with the "my little pony's"?
EHZ background seems to be missing something. Maybe clouds? The HUD is cool, but I'd like to see how many rings I have. Other than that, looks great.

EDIT: I didn't Play this with any sound at the time. Those explosions are a bit annoying. And the sound effects are..... odd.

The constant explosion sounds, that sound like a 12 years old blowing into a $2 headset made me go nuts only after a short while. I'd really like to play this hack, but I can't really stand horribly broken sound at all. I hope you fix that soon.

How is it for the Hacking Contest when it's a different build altogether and the submitted build is only for the judges?

I also agree about the explosions. They're horribly obnoxious. If you care so much about them, only have them play when in the proximity of the badnik, otherwise it's pointless.

In the proximity of the explosion may be a better idea. The explosion could have happened far away from where Sonic is but the badnik be right next to him =P

Forget about the ponies (evil as they may be), those are about the strangest set of sound effects I've ever heard in a hack.

The background and music choices are cool, though, and Waddle Dee alone just made this hack a bit more playable.

1-Time Use Spring. That's all, It blew my mind. Also, lol at the EWJ Sounds on the bumpers... And the background was nice to see it on a level (add the Beta CD Clouds and it would look better).

I'm not sure if this was only directed at SOTI or everyone. Either way, I'm horribly sorry if I offended you by this in any way. I tried to be a little funny, with (possibly) over-the-top humor, which was easly misunderstandable. I liked what I saw so far very much, it's just those explosion sounds that made the game virtually unplayable for me without muting the sound.

I can see some potential in this hack. You use some pretty interesting ideas. I like the speed shoes timer and the single-use springs in particular. But yeah, the flaws that need to be fixed ASAP have already been covered by the others here, so I don't really need to restate them.
