Unreleased Mega Drive/Genesis renamed conversion of the SNES Dragon's Lair/Dragon's Magic game.

This release comes from the SegaAge community. Kudos to them. thumbsup.png

P.S.: They also promise they'll release at least one more unreleased game for the Mega Drive/Genesis during the summer.

It was going to be released in 1994, and I believe it was another case of a game not being released because the Mega Drive/Genesis market support was starting to diminish from that year on.

In Europe it's clear why it wasn't released. Elite Systems was the European publisher and despite having some titles in development (Joe & Mac which was released by Takara in North America and some absolutely unreleased games like Kartoon Kombat, Wacky Races and this one), they discontinued their Mega Drive support earlier than expected and ended up not releasing a single game at all for the platform.

In North America it's not that clear. Some last minute business decision from Taito maybe, who also left unreleased the Mega Drive/Genesis version of Lufia & The Fortress of Doom. Since this prototype bears the Taito logo, it's pretty much what would have been the retail North American release.
