Assuming that you already played through ModernGeneric's GHZ, are the 3D controls improved compared to Unleashed and Colors?

How horribly broken is Classic when playing a Modern stage? If you can only move properly in 2D...

He actually does turn around toward/away from the camera sometimes, suggesting he's capable of 3D movement. The real question is whether his 3D controls are polished at all, since it seems he and Modern have notably different physics in some ways (such as Modern's floatier jump).
More interesting to me: is Classic Sonic capable of grinding?

Given that the moveset seems to be determined by an XML file, I wouldn't be surprised if both classic Sonic and modern Sonic are actually going through the same code. That would mean that the speed shoes probably still have their effect even on modern Sonic.

Ouch, yeah I know Modern's not supposed to be in that level but christ does that level layout ever make Modern's physics issues more apparent.
>BOOSTING FULL SPEED INTO A QUARTER PIPE
>*"Ehhh" lil limp dicked back flip and no air at all*
God damnit this shit rustles my jimmies like you have no idea. (It happens all the damned time in Modern's levels (And Unleashed) so don't 'hurrp Classic's stage durrr' me pal.) And that S tube was just painful to watch. Just give Modern his rolling back, Sega! Seriously...
Also inb4 Sega sends a SWAT team to Polygon Jim's house. 'PUT DOWN THE SONIC, PUT IT ON THE FUCKING GROUND'

Damnit. I really wanted to see that too. It would have been funny seeing Classic Sonic grinding in a cave away from a gigantic Chopper. ;____;

Did you file switch to make this work? is this PS3 or Xbox 360 version? Looking from the video it looks like he used Sonic Unleashed.

Why not just switch the model skins on each sonic ? that way the gameplay wont be broken for modern levels?

That would be somewhat beside the point, though. Like putting Knuckles in Death Egg Zone but taking away his gimped jump height and ability to glide/climb. We want to see what it's like to play as the other Sonic in the wrong zone, not just look like the other Sonic.
