According to this page (the Dreams Come True official English website), apparently this will be released in the US as well:

http://www.dctjoy.co...-soundtrack.php

Here's the little excerpt from the page:

Everyone knows Sonic the Hedgehog, the well-known character from the Sega videogame series of the same name as well as Sega's UFO Catcher popular in Japan. But did you know that the game music from Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 was composed by Masato Nakamura? This highly anticipated soundtrack is now available in Japan! (And will be coming soon to the US!)

Skeptical, but a US release might actually introduce more people to Sonic's soundtracks, and the games by proxy.

Yes it's fan run, but I've always known them to be trustworthy. The best resource for English DCT news.

So, silly question, has this album's info been wikified, yet?

If this IS hitting the US, I can only hope they make such announcements earlier in the future. I kinda already have an order placed for this thing.

Ah well. On a non-personal level, that is pretty good news if true, and hopefully will set a standard. It'd be so great to have a more convenient, less-costly way to obtain these.

If it makes a US release, I'll do everything in my power to buy it. :)

Listening to the demoes of Aquatic Ruin, Hilltop and Emerald Hill 2-P. For my input, EH2P hardly sounds deserty to me, AR works really will with its level, so if I had to put my trust into anything, I'd say HTZ was meant for the Desert Zone.

I could very easily seeing EH2P being used for Wood Zone, or Casino Night 2-P. Still, if all the music was composed really ahead of time, what'd Cyber-City's music be?

Also, to say that the Unused Track (Track 10) always bugged me. I don't think it was finished, and if it was, something really bugs me about the drums seemingly not matching the tempo of the song itself. I've toyed with the song for the HD project, but because of issues trying to make it not sound so... off to me, I never did one. :/ Too bad, because I love the song otherwise.

In what way? The ones I've listened to were basically the same but using different instruments. Granted, I still have a lot of listening to do.

Speaking of different instruments, the lead voice of MHZ and its slight portamento made me kinda moist.

I was not expecting to run into HPZ as a song that ends like that. That's interesting! There's an interview stating that Sonic was intended to transform there- perhaps the MCZ multiplayer music was the original level theme, with the track that became the level music shortly before it was scrapped having been intended as a single-use fanfare?

That's what I meant to say about it, but I had some sort of language malfunction.
