I'm willing to donate $50 regardless.

But while we're on the subject, is there an alternative to Paypal that can do 'anonymous' donations? Wasn't there something that can send donations by creating a temporary account and then as soon as the donation goes through, the account gets deleted?

I can't possibly throw money in without knowing what games are in the bunch. Since the earliest GCN Sonic games were just ports, I don't expect anything to be particularly interesting, so I think I'll pass on this one. Good luck, though.

Early as in early in the development, not early as in year of production.

If it's Heroes it'd be interesting, considering the rumour of how the Sammy merger practically caused the management of the game to be far worse due to people being introduced and moved around projects.

EDIT: Wrong company, meant Sammy not DIMPS.

Sonic Heroes was released in 2004. Sonic Advance was released in 2001, which was also Dimps produced. What merger was this?

I'd like to add that if Sonic Heroes was worse than what it COULD have been, what would the final product be like then? Epic!

What Dimps merger? Dimps isn't part of SEGA. They're an outside company. Quit spreading lies.

I've for no cash I can spare to offer. By the time I do this would be over. I hope you get the funds.

Seems like a waste of money, I'd think it better for everyone to save their money for when something more worth it comes along. Two of them are ports released after the final games were already finished and out previously, while Sonic Heroes I don't personally find interesting, but with how much a risk it is getting these things...I'd rather the risk be with a game that didn't suck, ya know? :P

I still wonder what ever happened with what I assume to be "that-which-shall-not-be-spoken-in-public", aka that Sonic CD proto that was posted about on Assembler what seems like ages ago and we've heard no news of since. What ever happened to that? I'll understand if this post must be deleted or something, but since it already had a public posting previously I'll assume this won't cause anymore damage by asking. Now THAT was something I would have donated for if it really had two unreleased levels.

Even if the prototypes didn't contain anything interesting, I'd say it's worth buying for that cartridge alone. Seriously, it's not like you can find stuff like that often. May come handy later if some other game prototype surfaces but only as a file =P

...Dimps didn't produce SADX. The only GameCube game they ever did was some DragonBall Z game. And the Sammy merger did not happen until about a year after SADX. (Remember: SADX was released in 2003 in Japan, just like the original Sonic Adventure was released in 1998 in Japan.)

Well, some strange things have appeared in those ports.

Maybe we'll find something akin to the... HOLY CRAP IT'S THE SA DRAGON!
