GOOD, I might buy it now if they fix the hell out of it. I would love to have a good Sonic game on my 3DS.

I dunno, I like getting as much of a fresh experience as possible with any game, it's why I've been avoiding most new videos of Sonic Generations and Skyward Sword. I usually wind up liking the overall package more when I go in mostly fresh, but that's just me.

I can play a game and still be surprised, in spite of watching spoilers.
Same. I barely remember any of the shown layouts by the time I play the game for myself. Besides, there's tons of other routes to take and Aaron specifically had taken some of the harder-to-access ones.

I really love the hubworld in this, it reminds me of something along the lines of Kirby's Epic Yarn. I hope it's used in the future, because it allows for optional stuff to do outside of the levels without detracting from the main experience, so those who want to do side challenges and stuff can, while others can just speed through the game.
Also, has it been said how level progress works in this? Like, are all levels just kind of unlocked and you can choose who you want to play as in any order you want, or do you have to do it in a specific order? The way the hub looks, it seems like you're just thrown into this space full of all the levels and you can tackle them as you please.

In the CNET video it was stated that to progress you had to do the two levels plus one of the five challenges to progress onwards.
It really is looking that they have put everything they can into this game. 20 days left (for the UK) until I finally get my hands on this game. The more I've seen the more I've wanted. The Death Egg boss didn't look that lengthy but there is a lot of effort. With all the side missions to do to get the game 100% done is going to take a lot of effort but worth it.

A friend is telling me they're putting up a demo of Modern Sonic's Spagonia level today. Anyone have a source to this?

It's either today or tomorrow. Though, it would make sense if they did that. Since the first demo was up for 20 days on Sonic's 20th anniversary, it would make sense for another demo to come out 20 days before the international release of Sonic Generations, Sonic's 20th anniversary game, if another is comming out at all. :P
Question is, if it IS comming out today, what time? We're almost 3/4 our way through the day. You brits are probably further through the day than us East Coasters. :c

Xbox Live and PSN aren't going to update later today and they aren't going to update on sunday. Don't get your hopes up.

Okay cool, that makes sense. It kinda worlds like Mario Galaxy where you have to beat the stage's seperate challenges before progressing which works but I think that simply going from level to level would flow better, even if it'd make the game a bit short, the extra stuff would still be there for those who want more content.

True but it does offer a bit more of a challenge and reinforces in players minds that there is a lot more to unlock.

Today would have made more sense, oh well.
Also, I wonder what the demo'll be. Classic? Classic and Modern? (Just Modern would kinda be weird, but eh...) What stage, even? Rooftop Run? Green Hill? City Escape?
All my questions answered Wensday I suppose. Hope I can play this before I go to school that day :S

Looks like the 1st demo's config files may have been right about something coming this month.
To refresh everyones memory, when the demo was being hacked this piece of text was found in the config files:
Quote
体験版(その2) 本番リリースの前(9月か10月)
Which google translates to:
Quote
Trial version (The Two) Prior to production release (Nine Month or Ten Month)
