Nice render, would have liked to see them replicate his SA2 artwork pose, like they did with some others.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but the CE version seems to have a later release date than the normal version - 30th November for CE, 4th for normal. At least, that's what it says here.

I was slightly hoping that they would keep the side characters to the bare minimum to avoid getting into another disastrous werehog situation.

You can see the reflection of a bunch of buildings in his eyeball.

It'll just be a mistake, I'm sure.

Shadow, Metal Sonic and
Spoiler
are only boss/rival characters. Tails,
Spoiler
are supporting characters who show up in levels and the intro. I can't imagine the focus will ever shift from the Sonic's though.

And yet, the mere fact that those characters are IN the game is enough to get some people riled up. Case and point:

I don't really like this. I thought since Sonic Unleashed, all the stupid side kicks were removed and only Sonic, Tails and Eggman are still there. But now on Sonics birthday they bring (in my opinion) on the worst side kicks back.

Mild response, to be sure. But I can guarantee you there'll be some people who'll get mad as hell about this kinda thing. I wonder just how many people will take one look at that Shadow render and then go 'DROPPED' and then inform their friends that Generations will suck, false alarm. :specialed: And let's not even get into the reviewers trying to be edgy and talk about how 'painful' it is to see other characters in a Sonic game.

I find it all amusing, to say the least. Guess Sonic Team'll never live some things down. :v:

Why would they be mad? You get to kick the shit out of Shadow. Sounds like a winning situation to me. :v:

A better example

Revealing Shadow sent this from a more or less definite buy to something I might consider if I can find it used for $10 at Gamestop.

What's worse, is that Shadow being in and him being a rival/boss battle has been known for MONTHS, yet people keep thinking he's going to be a "shitty alternate gameplay side character emo friend", paraphrasing of course.

I just noticed something... What's with his shoes? Is the same thing happening to him like everything else?

I keep seeing people commenting on Shadow's shoes on various sites. What's so different about them? They've been depicted as similarly scuffed with chips in the paint in promotional renders for Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Rivals and Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing before now, as well as a few others looking at the art on the wiki. If anything, Sonic the Hedgehog '06 was the odd one out for not adding the scuff-marks.

On-topic, loving that Collector's Edition, but hoping the later release is just an info-gaffe by Amazon. I'd rather not wait nearly four extra weeks to play it after it's released just because I went for the version with all the extra swag. = S Still, if it is a genuine difference, I'm sure Halo: CE Anniversary and Zelda: Skyward Sword will be keeping me too busy for it to bother me too much. = )

Shadow had a gun through out his own starring game, when you mess around with ILLEGAL FIREARMS (I don't believe he was permitted to carry a concealed weapon, let alone one out in the open) you're bound to scuff up your 50 YEAR OLD DUNKS.

Considering Shadow has rocket shoes, having the paint chipped and scuffed would be fairly realistic thanks to all the heat.

So... Mention of Shadow makes everyone baww. When he's a rival character.

These people are DUMBASSES.

If Generations turns out to be good, then this kind of fandumbish "green eyes" category comments will simply be ignored or someone will say something like "no way dude."

This already happens with Colors.
If someone, game reviewer or not, says it is bad, there will be always someone who jumps on it saying that's not true.
