PC. I am writing a little networking tutorial and it's a mini game to be used for the tutorial. Still not done with the tutorial though.
The palm leaves on the tower are shaded a bit different and since its behind the first row of leaves on the ground it looks a bit odd. I Think what I'll do it bring it forward and have it in front of everything but the foreground. I might make it just a smidge darker too. Hmm good point on the grass I might make a few additional color changes then. Originally I had the Woodzone leaves instead. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5170721/Viridian%2...%20-%20Copy.png I decided that less detail in the background would be better with less detail so it would stand out from the foreground. So I outlined a few of the Wood Zone leaves and reshaded them myself. Thanks. The sprite is by Gardow I searched long and hard to find a good sprite. ^_^ I'm using Phoebius's city graphics for what is to be called Hyper Highway. Because STT has 2 time periods I have to make a past version. Here's what I have so far.
Looks like Sonic kinda. The stand-in sprite is blue like Sonic =P Looks like it has acceleration at the very end of the gif. At the very least, it looks like a preliminary engine that's trying to replicate Sonic Xtreme. I've seen several engines like that for Sonic fangames at SFGHQ actually.
He stated that it's for a tutorial for networking and he made the mini-game for the tutorial. Though it is pretty interesting looking, made me say WTF at first though. xD Also awesome title screen art E-122-Psi. ^_^ I always love seeing your sprite art.
Fits the Advance style quite nicely nonetheless, though I'm sure it had to be colored to look that way.
I've been tinkering with an old static engine of mine. + - TGF2 is a bitch to work with, and not the fun kind.
Yeah, after having worked with actual code for so long, I found going back to ClickTeam products left me feeling like I could do much more by writing everything from scratch in a real programming language. Of course, since then I made DEARGoDWHY in The Games Factory (the original one), and didn't really have much issue, but then again, that was for a contest designed to deliberately make an awful game.
