Anyway, he plays near identical to his Bare Knuckle III: DX Director's Cut hack counterpart.
But that's just the thing. I can play BK3 Shiva in BK3. I want to play BK2 Shiva, who is totally different, and makes BK3 Shiva look like a baggy pants gimp.
Also Shiva has no front facing throw. That's why the flame kick throw was done. He's meant to have a complete moveset. You know the throw where you grab onto the opponent then press Down+ Back + B when facing the opponent from the front? Yeah, Shiva lacks one of those. Plus, he's based off of imported Bare Knuckle III: Director's Cut code. Red Crimson also hasn't quite figured out how to program new animations into the game just yet. Remember, hacking to SOR games is still relatively new territory.
Skate and Zan has no hold+forward+B moves, Max can't vault over characters, Axel and Blaze only have one backwards hold move while Max has two, Zan can't use weapons, etc.... It's character variety.
Also, what part of the video are you referring to about the kick? He's pretty accurate IMO. He has another combo though it's only activated if you press the B button fast enough, similar to how Axel can do a double kick at the end of a combo if you press the B button fast enough. It uses the other attack involving that one hook punch thingy Shiva does. Not the holding hook punch attack, the other hook punch he uses that's more straight armed.
Not sure if you know about the difference between his BK2 and BK3 combos.
In BK3, Shiva does two forward palm attacks (1 hit each), the "headcrusher" punch (2 hits), and the one legged kick (1 hit on the last frame, knockdown).
In BK2, Shiva does a bitch slap (2 hits), one forward palm strike (1 hit), and the one legged kick (2 hit, second hit is knockdown. There's a third and fourth hit afterwards too on the last two frames, you can get hit by these when you do a jump while Shiva is standing up. Getting hit on the last frame only seems to happen with Max.).
The BK2 one arguably looks better, and the combination of different sound effects makes it sound much more painful too. (it plays two different effects on the two hits of the last attack)
